I play either Marvel Vs Capcom 2 on my PS2, Super Smash Bros Brawl on my Wii or MUGEN, MAME, or SORR on my PC. I love video gaming but I'm more to the classics and stuff.

I've been trying out some of my Genesis games.

Dynamite Headdy- Fun, but hard. And a death means redoing the whole level. Ugh.
Ristar- A very fun, cute little platformer. I should play this one more.
Castlevania Bloodlines- OMG FUCK THIS GAME AAAARRRGGGGGHHHH

I just got DKC Returns 3D. Good port, but the controls are so awkward compared to the Wii version. I'm too used to having the run button be the same as the rolling button.

... I don't remember that EVER being a thing in the Wii version

If you played sideways Wiimote then yeah it was the same as the grab button, but rolling was waggle

You can change the controls to use the D-Pad if you want though

I am also playing DKCR3D. It is very fun game. Controls are nice and fluent though I'm the sort of person who never had a problem with the waggle controls on the Wii version anyway.

Got Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask partly for my birthday, and partly because it was extremely cheap and we'd wanted to for a while. Although at first it didn't feel at Layton-y as the other games (due to it being on the 3DS, a lot has changed), I soon got used to it. It's really awesome so far, and the mini-games are also extremely fun.

After struggling day after day I finally beat Hexagonest on Super Hexagon, then somehow I beat Hyper Hexagon in the same day. Next day (yesterday) I beat Hyper Hexagoner. Now let's see if I can beat Hyper Hexagonest, it's unbelievably fast Unsure
(This is all on the PC version by the way, the phone version is more difficult due to the smaller screen and touch controls, so I'm keeping it as an additional challenge for me once I'm done on the PC.)

Yesterday I finished Phoenix Wright AA: JFA. It's a bit of a shame that it didn't have a DS-exclusive case like in the first, but the final case's epicness pretty much made up for it.
I also got over my fear of the Meat Circus in Psychonauts and beat it, finishing the game. Now I'm going to do all the extra stuff (figments, cobwebs, etc), as well as get the Steam achievements. Unfortunately there's no "completed save", it doesn't even record that I've completed the game. So I have to load from the point of no return, do all the extra stuff, then finish the Meat Circus again to truly 100% the game. Not a big deal really, but I don't know why it doesn't at least acknowledge that you've done the Meat Circus (and maybe give access to it), even if the story must be loaded from the point of no return.

I've also been playing Beat Hazard Ultra on my phone and BIT.TRIP RUNNER. Gotta love music based games.

(Wow just noticed how much that is Shy )

Right now, not much due to this cold/chest infection taking the toll on my health and will take at the end of the week at the earliest to even play properly but from what I have been playing lately:

LittleBigPlanet 2 (PS3) - It's an okay platformer on a system that doesn't have many platformers (apart from the Sonic series, a couple of Rayman games, Sly Cooper 4 + HD ports, 360 is even worse). Already got nearly a 1/3 of the main game done and while I sort of like the English feel of the game, the physics are acceptable but I wish they could be slightly better, it shouldn't take nearly 5 minutes to try to get a sticker. Yes, I know the whole point of this game is to make levels and share them. The main problem with this game is that you can't complete it without extra stuff and I don't mean DLC. In order to complete the game you need the following; 2 controllers, 1 PlayStation Move controller with the PS Eye and a PS Vita. Luckily I have the latter but for someone who just has a PS3, it would be a hassle and a lot of money in order to get the full picture of this game. I find that outrageous, however the game was on offer and the DLC alone that came with it would cost more than the game, it was the Extras Edition after all.

The Pinball Arcade (PS3, sometimes Vita) - This has been my pick up and play game since end of March, at least play on it once a day. It is virtual pinball with licensed tables from Midway (Bally/Williams), Stern and Gottlieb, all of them being the big pinball makers [also they did make games as well]. The main game comes with 4 tables; Ripley's Believe It or Not, Tales of the Arabian Nights, Theatre of Magic and Black Hole. The first 3 are modern and the last one more old school. Out of the 4 tables, I've enjoyed Black Hole the most but the other 3 were good as well. It is very addictive to try and beat your score plus to beat the goals in the time. I also bought DLC as well but only 1 pack; Cactus Canyon and Central Park. Cactus Canyon is a rare pinball machine and was last one done by Bally in 1998 to the point where it was unfinished, Central Park is the oldest pinball table in the game from 1966 and plays differently when compared to the others [earlier than that were more like gambling machines than pinball]. Both are enjoyable and actually worth supporting/getting since if you owned Cactus Canyon alone would have costed thousands of dollars [was it $12,000+?].

The game does have some problems though, it plays better on the Vita due to that the PS3 seems to have a tiny bit of lag however on the Vita, especially on the DLC tables the graphics are blurry and low resolution on the main field that can affect the game (the 3D elements are okay though) since you can't read the text. By comparison, the main 4 tables are just as good graphically on the Vita as the PS3 but brighter. While people do play Zen Pinball/Pinball FX, I don't find it as enjoyable even though it has better presentation (the physics feel a bit too heavy compared to TPA though).

FarSight (the developer) focuses on the mobiles/tablets first, then the Sony consoles and finally the 360 version is stuck in limbo due to that Crave went bust making the lead platform hard to push out any updates. It is coming on Steam and the Wii U though but they are a very small company that has to develop on at least 6 platforms and has to make 2 pinball tables a month that takes a lot of effort so they are done when they are done.

Burnout 3: Takedown (Original Xbox) - I managed to get myself an original Xbox on Wednesday with 13 really good games (also bought another 12 Xbox games yesterday at cheap prices, sadly no Jet Set Radio Future or MSR2 I meant Project Gotham Racing but did get OutRun 2) so the first thing I did to test the system was to play one of my favourite series Burnout (the system also came with Burnout Revenge) and realised that it was similar to Burnout Legends on the PSP but much better since its not as glitchy.

Even though I only managed to play it twice so far, playing it was really enjoyable to the point that games like Burnout 3 are the reason why I love gaming in the first place. The graphics are good, the sounds good and the gameplay is good. It is very addictive to the point where potentially I could play this game for hours and still play for another go.

I would have happily played more but then the cold kicked in making hard to do any progress until I get better so sadly it is on hold.
