I think this is a natural step in the direction the series have. I think it fits, it's not that out there for it either. We've had different forms before.

anyway i guess im hoping megablaziken means 3rd gen remake since its the only starter revealed to have a mega form so far

im honestly starting to check out on pokemon now

There's a difference between having a select few Pokemon having forms and then just going back to all the old Pokemon and going HAHA LETS MAKE THEM SUPER SAIYEN YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MEGA FORMS

To be honest, I'm really surprised they showcased a STARTER pokemon for mega-evolutions--I almost feel like they need to give megas to all or none of them (which could be pretty cool, and they might be doing anyway).

Judging from how similar they look to their counterparts (especially ampharos), I have a feeling this is more of a superpowered alternate form-type gimmick rather than actual evolutions (I'd prefer evolutions and not touching three pokemon lines, but so far I'm impressed--the only ones I'm iffy about are Lucario and Absol, but they're tolerable to me), which, to be honest, makes me very excited.

Have I mentioned how PERFECT the Mawile evo/form is?
I've always loved Mawile, and it's had such great potential that seemed to go to waste until now.
Even if this isn't really an evolution but an alternate form type thing (which to be honest would actually be an awesome 'regular' evolution), I love the design, love the fairy type addition, and would LOVE to have it on my team now that it's stats are most likely beyond mediocre.

Ampharos looks pretty cool, even if it is just a wooly ampharos (which I always thought it was missing! It needed the fluff~)

If, however these ARE actually a legit form of evolution, I have a feeling there would be no more than 15, MAYBE 20, because it would certainly clutter up the pokedex and take up space for what could be new pokemon.
Again, I'm surprised they picked a starter, but hey.

If these are alternate forms, I would love to see Mega-evolutions of Gengar, Lapras, Breloom, Milotic, Banette, Audino, and Sigilyph!


Also, I would be perfectly okay if the rabbit was the 'small rodent' (ratatta, zigzagoon, bidoof, patrat, etc.) of the gen. It's very cute! For some reason the brown reminds me of mud or dirt--I have a feeling that might play into it's evolution?

And of course sexy fairy electric mouse is incredibly sexy

It'll be interesting to see what the actual meaning of the mega-evolution is, I'm assuming there will be something about it in a few days on the Pokemon youtube channel.

I think its incredibly childish actually. Mega Evolutions sound like an idea from a ten year old.

I really like the three new Pokemon they showed... even though we already have a normal type rabbit, could have made it another type.
