What are you playing?
The GBC version of Metal Gear Solid (aka MG: Ghost Babel). I've never really played the original PC/PSX version, I tried it once but didn't get too far. Apparently this version has a different story though (alternate non-canon timeline I think), so it feels good to know I'm not missing anything that may have been lost through the conversion.
I've played this version ages ago on Easy, using a walkthrough in a very old issue of Pocket Gamer. So now I'm playing it again on Normal, getting some crazy nostalgia and just good stealthy fun.
You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down. -Mary Pickford

Started playing Chibi-Robo (GC). It's pretty fun so far, but the limit of 10 pieces of certain trash could be a bit bigger, and I feel like once I get more gear it will be a bit of a pain to cycle through them just to get across a small gap. But so far it's an interesting game, Telly Vision reminds me of Navi a bit.

I've been on a Kiby kick the past couple of days, mainly because they're so easy to pick up for a day or two without interrupting any longer gaming excursions.

Recently beat Kirby's Dream Land for the first time, and loved it enough to do it again later that night. And the next morning. Seriously, I love this game.

Went through Kirby's Adventure earlier and... it was pretty meh, in my opinion. It was really busy and hard to keep track of, and there was an awful lot of flicker and slowdown. I appreciate how seriously the development team took their craft, but I think it was maybe a little too ambitious for the NES.

Almost done with Dream Land 2, and loving that as well, though not as much as the first one. I do like meeting all of Kirby's friends, though. I didn't know about the multiple endings until just a couple hours ago, so I haven't really been looking for those items... I'll probably have to do that.

Kirby's Adventure is my fave NES game. It's the best-looking NES game (though it does suffer from flicker), great music and man, it's Kirby. I still find little secrets here and there in that game, it's really fun Smile I also love the pseudo-3D rotating tower. That's amazing for the console it's running on, and I'm a sucker for that kind of effects.

Best looking? Have you seen Mr.Gimmick?

Kirby's Adventure is probably my favorite NES game though, or atleast one of them.

Oh, Kirby's Adventure is definitely the most technically impressive and ambitious game on the NES (at least, in my experience). I feel like it would have been better with less cluttered environments, because I think those background tiles which contribute only to aesthetic and not gameplay (and confused what I could and could not jump to on more than one occassion) are responsible for a lot of the slowdown and flicker.

Man, flickering, I love the game Commando for the NES, but that game flickers so bad.

Isn't Nightmare in Dreamland for the GBA a remake of Kirby's Adventure? Why not give that a go instead?

Ok, you guys have to see this. This is by far the most advanced NES game, give it a try. It's pretty gosh darn fantastic.

Actually, fond memories of NDL inspired me to play the original (plus, I love a lot of 8-bit titles more than their remakes).

Also, I'm just going through that Kirby Dream Collection thing. Adventure is what's available.

@Pug: That game looks incredible. It's pretty much bolting to the top of my list.

Edit: And then I went to buy it. I'll be entering the lottery from now on.

Kirby's Epic Yarn & Super Mario Galaxy 2.

So far, Kirby seems to be the best Jump 'n Run for the Wii since I'm already in world 6 and can't stop playing. Also played Kirby's Adventure Wii, but the level design is not as sophisticated as in Epic Yarn.

Man

I have come across Trio the Punch and that game humiliated me in game design. I don't feel like working on game ideas anymore.
