Updated.
Do we have any more suggestions for starters?

Im actually surprised that Nintendo/Gamefreak havent made a fire starter based on a Tiger with the whole chinese zodiac. Why not see if that could work?
I think you missed mine in the update (unless I overlooked them in the first post).
Quote:Just had an idea. A psychic type pokemon based off of a jester with a 2 color mask like face (like Dimentio). It's whole gimmick is the concept of opposites. It could have the ability Form Change (it's mask could change), or maybe an ability that makes physical attacks to special damage, and special attacks to normal damage. To sum it up: Psychic type Opposites Jester Psychic/Normal type Juggling Clown I could see these being version exclusive kinda pokemon.

Yeah I occationally miss a suggestion or two, but for some reason I miss yours the most! I think it might be because you make the most suggestions heh.

Oh that one. Hm at first I thought it might be a joke. I'm kind of hesitant to put that up there since it's like in order to finally evolve the Pokemon you have to kill it.

Yeah, it's probably too dark.
Although when you evolve Paras into Parasect you're permanently sacrificing it's mind to the parasitic mushroom on its back, they are a lot more subtle about it and Pokemon is more okay with the subtle kind of horrors

Right but it has to be pretty subtle. Paras' evolution isn't as obvious as say making the Pokemon faint and it becomes a ghost type.

If it's an issue, I'd go for the opposite. It's final form has it suddenly super healthy. Maybe it's first two forms could have poor stats, and some ability that causes it to take damage each tern, but if you stick with it, it's final form is health, has a major stat boost, and has an ability that makes it immune to poison or whatever.

I decided to add the Marine Iguana as a Water starter. Why not?

How about a Grass/flying starter based off of a parrot? the basic form would start off as a parakeet of sorts, transition into a Puerto Rican Amazon, and then end up as a Macaw.
And maybe there could be an electric/poison frog instead of another Pikachu clone. |
