I figured part of the whole generic inanimate objects/critters with googly eyes thing in Banjo-Kazooie was to make it funnier when those enemies got incredibly violent deaths. Like in the tutorial: there's no real reason the featureless boulders demonstrating the beak-barge have to be sentient except that it changes what Banjo and Kazooie are doing from harmless smashing into murder with a smile. The grublin-type enemies are the most unique baddies, but also ones that tend not to explode into gibs.
Oh, and Tropical Freeze is good. Like, really good.

Anyways, this game is fantastic (and hard)! I love the visuals as well as the boss fights due the fact that they're much more polished, creative and soulful than NSMBU.
