yeah, I don't think Ike's removal would've really fixed anything. I kind of don't want any cuts in Smash 4. All the characters added in Brawl deserve to come back in future installments. That includes Ike.
also what's wrong with having three blue haired swordsmen? Seriously guys, it's Fire Emblem's trademark thing. Blue Haired Swordsmen are usually the main characters of Fire Emblem. It's been broken a couple of times here and there, but usually the Main Characters of Fire Emblem games are, indeed, blue haired swordsmen. I have a bunch of friends online who are all Robin supporters, but I doubt he has much of a shot either. It would be like adding Micaiah in Smash Bros. Brawl over Ike. Or instead of Lucas, we got like, Boney from Mother 3. Robin's a huge protagonist in Awakening, don't get me wrong, but Chrom's technically the main character, and the face of the game. This is also why I think IF Lucina shows up, it would be an Assist Trophy, or her outfit would be an alt for Marth or something. EDIT: Also ~DrakoRero~, that comment wasn't meant for anyone directly, I'm just getting sick of Ridley supporters hahahaha

I'm sure the Chrom nay-sayers will turn around much like people who complained about Pac-man and Mii did.

I'm more than willing to accept Chrom if they can do something unique with him. Right now it looks like he'll probably just be Marth 2.0, but I can also imagine him, just based on his character design, as being a more aloof fighter with medium-to-heavy swings in the medium speed range. His hair is probably a dark enough shade of blue that it could be distinguishable from Marth and Ike, and leans towards black.
I guess I haven't done a great job of making my stance clear. I don't have anything against Chrom, and if Sakurai can make him feel like a new character and get his character across through stance and animation, then there's probably a lot of potential there for a really cool character. I'll have to see him in action, really, but right now I don't have much confidence. Edit: CBL, go play a FE game. They're awesome. Thanked by: Crappy Blue Luigi, Iocus

OKAY, OKAY, FINE
actually fun fact, when i went to smashfest with tellis in june, we were in line right behind a few people whom we ended up discussing a lot with. one of them got us onto the subject of fire emblem and went into great lengths about why i should play the sacred stones before any of the other ones. smash bros. fans really want me to play fire emblem! while everyone else is flocking to the lounge to live there for the rest of their lives, sakurai posted a new thing on miiverse:
"Pic of the day. The Mii Gunner's side smash attack may have the farthest reach of all the side smashes…as should be expected from a firearms expert!! Looks like the attack missed this time, though." not much else to say on this one. really looking forward to checking out how the different miis feel in battle. Jesus Christ, that F-Smash has some range
I assume it won't do much damage, though. It'll probably have about as much knock-back as Falco's blaster.
Edit: Haha, how wrongly I worded that. When I said "Damage" i meant "Knock-back." I don't think the attack will be a kill move, but I think it will be really great at bringing up the percent value of your opponents.

So apparently the Mii Gunner uses projectiles even as basic attacks, just like Mega Man. Thanked by: SchAlternate, psychospacecow

Making Samus seem kind of odd by comparison.

Soooooo ... I'm getting the impression that Palutena is completely broken. And Sakurai doesn't care one bit.

Heavenly Light doesn't inflict flinch, so she's very vulnerable using it. As for her up smash, look at Pikachu's Thunder.

Well she's only vulnerable if she can't cancel the move like Jigglypuff's Sing.
Also Heavenly Light makes Fox's Blaster pathetic. |
