Do we have any information on Ness's alt colors?
I'm pretty sure we would have heard about it if it happened... but I'm sort of mildly hoping Lucas just became a Ness Alt costume. With custom movesets, it wouldn't be that big a stretch to think Ness and Lucas just fused into a single character slot.
ALSO any information on Bowser Jr.'s Lemmy alt skin's Cannonball? Did they think to put the Lemmy ball texture on it?
Anyways, I think I'm one of the few people that sort of lost some more hype due to people playing the game 2 days early. I was kind of looking forward to a final reveal trailer to kick things off before we knew EVERYTHING.
So my hype train sort of lost some speed.
I hate to cause your train to lose even more speed, but
No Lucas alt
This DHD texture totally reminds me of banjo-kazooie

How can you even get mad at this roster! It's so good.
Mother 3 is literally my favorite game ever and I can't even be mad, Magicant stage already reedemed eveyrthing
Duck Hunt's final smash also sooo good

I'm pretty satisfied myself, Villager, Lil Mac, Wii Fit Trainer, Shulk, Duck Hunt Dog? Thats all I really needed
but I mean yeah this roster could be way better... but I mean hey if they release all those characters via DLC I have no complaints

It could be way better as Melee could and as Brawl could. There's always room for more wanted characters but time and budget are real things.

Also. YES MAGICANT. SO MUCH YES. It's a stage I never knew I wanted.
I'm rather happy overall.
I mean, there's a few disappointments here and there (and really its more smash being leaked than the info being leaked that gets me down), but overall, better than the last smash!
(Would have like DHD to throw the duck though... or at least have it boomerang around)
Now I wonder... will DHD have a special affinity for the Zap gun?

I'm happy with the new characters, but it always rubs me the wrong way when characters are cut.

It's either less new characters and not cuts or what we have now and frankly, I prefer what they went with. Every fighting game is like this, Smash is no exception

So they made unlocking characters even easier this game. You either play classic mode a bunch of times, or you play 120 matches. (Yep, that's all it takes to unlock everybody. 120 matches)
There goes a bunch of my post release fun

I was really eager to see Ridley be confirmed though, only to see how much the internet would explode from the news.

I hope that somehow means that the online is playable now...
But there's a lot of other stuff to unlock, there's the challenges and all the trophies

It rubs me the wrong way with every game. I still want Diddy Kong in Mario Kart 8.
And frankly: we could do without some of the more useless features in the game if it means more development time for characters who are being built on existing files from Brawl.
The game doesn't really have many game modes going into it, and there wasn't even a story mode taking up a huge chunk of development time. We lost veterans just because, really.

Well they did rebuild each character from scratch

There are literally two versions of this game, with different stages for each one. Smash Run is a pretty beefy new mode too.
And
Sakurai literally said EVERY character was remade from scratch, none were built on existing files from Brawl at all. It actually is very impressive we got a roster this size
Before you say this is bullshit on Sakurai's part, a little watching from the leaks or even previous builds can show you how every character feels completely different with a lot of new or redone animations

If they really rebuilt each character from the ground up, they wasted an awful lot of time and money to get performance that is pretty close to being Brawl.
That really isn't helping their case. It demonstrates a lack of resource management, honestly.
