I saw this old thing in the archives after doing a random search...

And was wondering if anyone would be up for doing it again sometime soon? Looks like some people really went above and beyond for some of those o.o.

Welp, I was about to call Kirby. XD
*Thinking of racing games*
I'll take an RC Pro-Am if this happens.

Maybe this time we could include a cleaned up copy on the side, that isn't inside the blockiness, so we can see it more cleanly.

This is a pretty neat idea, id be up for it
I wouldn't call it a competition though, "activity" sounds more friendly and creates less stress to participate
Really wish weekly activities were more common here again, i really enjoyed them

That does sound like a good idea. I'd be down with that.

Let's put a starting date on it so we can keep track on how long it might take us to make the sprites. I think activities done that way will help us gauge how much our skills progressed. It'll also push us to do better.

Any date is fine with me, as long as it's on a weekend. Got classes during the week, after all.
For practice, I took an updated version of the Green Slime from my old own game, World of Chaos DX.

More practice. This time, I used Koh's new sprite as the base.

I tried some practice myself.
Personally, I think Tengen making a full face instead of makes it look a bit weird to me considering it's a skater.

I said this in another thread but this also applies to your sprite. Use the extra space to add fingers to his hands, shirt folds, even shirt stamps, be creative.

Feel free to actually make things go further IN the new outline bounds that don't really need to be all the way out. Some things here could be shaped out better if you do =).

I'll do Ninten from Mother 1. His sprite is very basic, and filling in those details would be fun.
