@supersmashball

People still use Windows XP? Never thought I'd see it again in ages.

Also, here's mine. It's so bland, that I bet you'd rather look at a wall.

I like mine to be clean and simple too look at.
I like to make models in my free time. I also make weird games, too.

That was kinda hurtful. (JK.)

Actually I work in IT so I kind of agree with Filler here: it's extremely rare you see someone still using XP now that it's no longer got official support. That, and it simply won't run: you can't activate it and you can't receive security updates, so you just need to be extra vigilant using it.
I've tried installing it on newer computers and it won't even work lmao.
The only reason I could see someone using it is for like proprietary software that runs in 16-bit mode that simply won't run in 7, 8 or 10.

Which, speaking of:

I notice you've got the Windows 8.1 running. Have you considered 10 yet?

I can see not wanting to update if you're on 7, but 8 just feels so grueling in comparison that 10 really isn't a bad idea if you're using the machine for productivity. It's also good for gaming because of DirectX 12 - also, all the optimizations to the OS just has your machine running so much nicer and smoother

OK yeah there's the creepy telemetry but you can always disable that

@Kosheh

I only have Windows 8.1 because it was the default OS for my new laptop I bought, I also customized it so I don't have to use the horrid start menu. It's working very well so far, the only issue I have is that some software have issues working on it.

I want to update to Windows 10, but all the controversy of it not working on some machines kinda makes me not want to update.

...actually, if drivers don't exist for any of your hardware prior to the upgrade, the automatic upgrade offer thing will tell you "Sorry, you can't upgrade. Why don't you look for a new computer"

It actually took my work computer about 2 months before legacy graphics drivers were made for it and now it's eager to get itself upgraded.

tl;dr the installer will actually tell you if it works, but if you want to double-cover your ass,

1) check the machine manufacturer's website to see if there's Windows 10 drivers for your hardware
2) Back up all your stuff if things go awry

Oh yeah and if things don't work you can always rollback to 8.1 ;P

Getting a little spooky for October.

By the way, both this and my last wallpaper were made by the same guy, he's got a really interesting collection of them: http://www.facets.la/wallpapers/

I am ancient Lord of Darkness so I don't have modern contraptions. But I want be part of this County so here is a picture of Magic Orb.

I use magic to read all your messages and reply to them. Is spooky! However not ease to use, not at all. Sometimes MP ends while posting, Magic Orb stops working. Is irritating.

I used to do something similar, but I went with a scrying mirror for the extra performance.
(I know, I know, they're way more expensive and not as portable, not to mention the lack of USB enchantments, I've heard it all before)

Unfortunately it was only 32 bit so I had to replace it a couple of years ago.

The desktop of my account on my aunt's computer.

It's a background from Steven Universe; the basement/burning room/Garnet's room of the Temple. Cute

This is all I have to show since my computer had to be rolled back to Windows 8.1 after Windows 10 refused to cooperate with my graphics card. ;-;
...On the plus side it looks a lot cleaner.
...Still gotta get rid of some of these useless programs, though.
