Just so you know, I'm using the Android version. From what I know, the obb and apk don't include the sprites. Does anybody know where the sprites are stored?

Aren't most of the sprites already on tSR? Or is there something in particular you're looking for?

Same for the Final Fantasy X monsters. Also, do you know if the game has any of Final Fantasy X-2's monsters and bosses? I can say for certain that there's no X-2 stuff as of yet, though it might be a thing sometime? Not sure; the Japanese schedule on Reddit doesn't show it.

Okay, based on what I know from reddit and looking at my own phone, there's supposed to be a cache of graphics somewhere on the phone, but I can't find it. Can anyone help me?

I'm going out on a limb here because I'm not familiar with ripping graphics from phone games, but... the easiest way to find it may be downloading the Android game separately, and then bringing it up on Android emulator? That should at least make it easier to find where the graphic files are stored.
But again, never did this before, so it's just a wild guess.

Sure enough, I was able to find some of the graphics for the game in the data folder of the device, but the emulator either won't let the game go beyond the title screen or outright crashes. I can't use my phone because if I try to access that folder on my Galaxy Note 4 (from Verizon), it turns up as empty. (I used ES File Explorer to try to see the files.) So, is there any way to see the files without rooting my device, or am I just stuck?

That should at least make it easier to find where the graphic files are stored. You will have to root your phone, or play on an emulator like genymotion that allows for root access. Once you get that you can find raw images in the cache folders, which are named in a way that should let you guess how to find a few more direct from your browser. So ripping isn't strictly necessary if you know what the naming pattern is. However, not all the files for the game have guessable URLs. A helpful hint: %2f = /

I've been able to rip some monsters and backgrounds using Genymotion. But I used an alternate account (ArtFromCode). I hope this doesn't get me banned. If it doesn't, can you delete my falcon236467 account?

Would you mind linking the guide you found that helped? I've spent the better part of 4 days trying to rip some sprites from Simpsons Tapped Out. I've got a rooted Bluestacks running and can dig through the files but can't seem to find any graphic caches. I originally was just going to copy and cut from screen images but they come out blurry.

Here's a thread related to ripping Tapped Out sprites from the files directly.
Thanked by: CheeseWire
