That's where you'd need all the programs from my ripping guide, including 3ds max sorry.

3DS Max really is proving to be a thorn in my side, I just wish someone would make a plugin for Noesis that allows it to read SZS files.

3DS Max really is proving to be a thorn in my side, I just wish someone would make a plugin for Noesis that allows it to read SZS files.

Well SZS files can be extracted through SARC Extract, but the problem is they contain BFRES files, which seem to only be ripped via 3DSMax

The models aren't completely ripped, the SZS are provided so people have access to the Rom's model files without searching sketchy sites for the Rom. Also I cannot provide Roms theselves here because of the legality of them and the site's guidelines, I can only provide specific sets of data from them, like compressed model data.
The guide was to help people figure out what to do next after obtaining raw data, so they get the models themselves and help contribute to the VG Resource. As much as I would love to completely make every single model accessible in .DAE format myself, that's very time consuming and very tiring after a while, because of the steps needed to convert everything. There are some .BFRES importers for blender being developed, but don't seem very complete yet which is why i only list the 3dsmax plugin, since i know it works. 
Until someone makes one program that batch converts all SZS files to DAE with textures intact, you have to go through multiple programs to reach that point.
