I figured it out, leaving this here in case someone else has this problem.
Sometimes a texture needs to be flipped upside down to map correctly.

I had the 8th Generation IDs posted the very same day I updated the script, in the post I linked to in my previous comment. Only 6th/7th were added afterward.

Not sure if i'm being dumb, but a lot of the dds files from sw/sh seem to be broken.

They're in DX10 format, so you need to have a program capable of opening those. As I mentioned previously, Photoshop, Noesis and even Switch Toolbox all work.

Photoshop CC 2019 is what i tried and i get black images with pink dots for the most part. tr0000_00_face_col is the one i was testing.

Hm, guess I must've forgotten to mention that you might need the Intel DDS plugin if it's not already installed. But either way Noesis for sure can convert them to a usable format.

Has there been any progress of ripping the cites and landscapes from Sword and Shield?

I really want that sweet statue from Motostoke.

I've got the cities exported, but almost every building is positioned at 0,0,0 and needs manual readjustments (or just align the meshes to the joint correspondent to the building, but they have odd names), some buildings are separated in multiple pieces (those pieces are placed at 0,0,0 too)

I see. As long as you can get that statue converted, I'm set. I wanna use that sword and shield it has, to be honest.

I'm honestly just hoping someone can finally figure out how to extract the animation files from the Switch Pokemon games. I never saw any posts about extracting the animations from Let's Go, but they also weren't really needed because the models were the same as Sun/Ultra Sun & Moon/Ultra Moon - aside from Meltan and Melmetal (Did get some awesome new Hi-Res textures though, so thanks to everyone who contributed in that).

The UV Mapping seems to be messed up on the pokemon models.

they're not broken, just make the UV mapping set as mirrored for the diffuse, or do texture edits by making it mirror itself on the other side.
