Using Cadence of Hyrule Link as a reference, I created a "Classic Link" in the same general style.
He contains the base shades of the NES Link sprite: for example, the brightest shade on the tunic colors are all the same as the singular colors from the NES sprite.
Not sure about his shield, I'll probably make a different one sometime.

I resurrect my project thread once again!

First up, I revisited my Samus Returns NES Metroids, scaled 'em down a bit and reduced detail to make them more NEStroid-ish.
I'm very happy with how the Zeta turned out, but I'm not sure about that tail. I'll probably replace the tail later.

Next, a bunch more Zelda sprites! This time using the colors of the GBC games.
I'm quite pleased with the Ball'n'Chain Soldier.

I do hate necroposting my own thread, but I figure that's better than making a new one.

So let's have a look see at some of the things I've been working on off/on over the past year or so...

Here we've got a downscaled version of that MASSIVE Kraid I was working on. I figured a smaller sprite would be less...Daunting.
He's been on the backburner for a bit, though.

And something else weird I got to working on: Alternate Metroid evolutions!
These little freaks sort of came about from the idea of "What if Metroid evolutions followed something that looked more like the Hunter Metroids from Prime?"
And so, fittingly, the "Hunter Evolutions" were born. They follow the same naming scheme as the original SR388 evolutions: from third onward they are the Alpha Hunter, Gamma Hunter, and Zeta Hunter. Unfortunately, I never figured out a design for the Omega Hunter, so the line just sort of ends here.

I was particularly proud of these. Dunno what the spoiler policy is, but I choose not to risk it, even if it's been over two years now since Dread came out.

Now for something completely different.

I was trying to concept out something for a personal project. I never quite figured out where I was going with these guys.
Nonetheless, you've got the protagonist, some generic enemies, two villains, and a boss enemy.

And finally, my most recent works, a Great Fairy and a Beamos!
(also featuring: FSA Great Fairy, from which I got the colors I used in my sprite. FSA Fairy was ripped by Vaati.)

I recall, a long time ago, I made a different Beamos. I never finished that sprite, and the full set of animations I made of it were lost.
But honestly? I like my latest take on the enemy better. It's more visually interesting in my opinion.

Update time.

First, Beamos in motion:

I like the rotation itself.
But I think I could do something more interesting with the "head."


Next, some WIPs.

Mothula and an outline for a Gohma sprite.
Thought process for Gohma is to combine elements of multiple incarnations of Gohma. Like it has the head crest thing of Wind Waker Gohma, but the general body structure of classic Gohma, with OoT Gohmas eye design. I'll figure out more precise things like animations for attack patterns and behavior as a boss once I settle on a design.

I noticed there don't seem to be that many fairies in the Zelda Customs section.
Maybe I'll finish these sprites up and submit them sometime...
