That means that I have tackled all the Sega Asterix games now. Oh and Octopus is nearly ripped except that I have discovered about 30/40 alt palletes for the thing itself and on the 1st cycle, I don't know how many colour cycles it has or whether it goes dark but I can predict about 100 alt palletes. Ouch or Darn you Tose.

Really glad it's done... Took long enough, just relieved that there wasn't any more colours or other features in this. At least one of the harder games is done now...
The colours, Duke! THE COLOURS! Nice job, Mr. Yawackhary! Now you probably know why I hate cycling palettes. =P

It was hard work for that, luckily this sheet is the polar opposite (easy):
Might as well say that I've got a couple of more G&W sheets on the way and see if there's any sheets that I can finish. Oh and one the sprites looks like he's "fluid releasing".

I hate to bump but added:
There's only Chef, Fire Attack and Rain Shower left of the modern games unless a few of the others need reripping, whether I do these depends on how I feel.

Great job! Do you plan on ripping Classic Octopus?

Also known as Turrican 3 on the Amiga but this is the original version, strangely it also has Mario and Sonic in the background of the 1st stage but unused. Hmm...

Originally I had no plans but providing it is easier than the modern one, I give it a shot.

Oh, I planned on doing that. How about G&W Gallery 2?

If you wanted to do the classic Octopus, that's fine by me. As for G&W Gallery 2, I started (but no way finished) a rip of Helmet modern but so far I have to rip from 3 versions, the original Game Boy, then the Super Game Boy and the Game Boy Color versions plus the fact that there are two different backgrounds on the 1st stage depending on version and the sprites stick to the map it wouldn't be easy - and yes that is the ripping way. Luckily all 3 versions are stored in one cart.

Okay, thanks! I'll get them up as soon as I can.
Also, good job on the Bren McGuire rip, it's strange that Mario and Sonic are there...

That's true there was Astal...

Back to this one again since a certain "Estoy Esperando" person likes this game just as much as myself. Quite relaxing around here for a change but that will change soon.

Welcome to the Fantasy Zone, Get Ready:
Apart from him, a couple of effects and text, the rest are compressed. For a 1987 port, it is pretty good not quite arcade perfect but better than the other ports at the time.

The X68000 had some great ports. The Amiga version was good as well. Great rip (will go good with my MS one )!

That is very true Eddo like Fantasy Zone, Bonanza Bros. and a few others.

You know that you wanted this so I did the right thing and done it for you. Well I looked into the ROM and since PC Engine games are stored so strangely is the format (rather similar to some Amiga/Atari ST games except it is much much more worse the best way to describe it is multiplex sprite layers also if you can understand it then you get a phD), I grabbed the latest Ootake which now supports layer removal and gave it a shot. Luckily Jackie doesn't use black unlike the rest of the characters... Compared to other consoles, PCE is very primative when it comes to sprite tools.
Also some icons to make it easier:
