RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - TGE - 04-14-2012 Wait, that's a 3d model!? That looks TOTALLY AWESOME! RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - valforwing - 04-14-2012 sweet! and no it's not rendered in 3DS max.....it's actually rendered in a freeware animation program called MikuMikuDance. my new computer for some odd reason won't record the animation video as well as my old computer did. and whenever I try to take a picture useing the save picture option on my computer the picture comes out shrunk. so what I do is save everything and hit play to clear all of the HUD stuff off the screen and have it loop on one frame. then I open up the snipping tool to get a picture. it's quicker and the pictures come out still looking normal. see right now im working on rigging the vehicle mode of Optimus Prime I'll i've managed to rig so far is the trailer, so that it can be shrunk away to conceal it, or poped off or just turned. But I plan on rigging it so that the doors on the cab can be opened....there is an inside to the cab but just no seats. are there any car models you guys have seen that have seats that would look well inside an 18 wheeler? I'm also going to make the windows semi transparent so that you can see inside. I'm gona leave out the steering wheel, no one's gona be driveing this car. You know how to rip and convert stages to the Blitz format??? I see you are using Sonic BGE... Hold on... I invite any pro at blitz sonic to my new thread. Come and disscuss!!! RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - TGE - 04-15-2012 Keep in mind that this is an old video and I fixed some things after that. It was merely just a test. RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - ~Axis~ - 04-16-2012 Damn! That's cool! RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - valforwing - 04-16-2012 Rigged the Blood dragon finally now only the common dragon and Elder remain (turns out ancient is just a pallet swap...which sucks because all of the dragons are pretty much the same mesh but either with elongated spikes, and different shaped heads...except for Alduin and Numinex) because all of the dragons are almost pallet swaps of each other and there are only nine different dragons in the game. common, frost, elder, ancient, blood, skeletal, ohdaviing(species is Red dragon), paarthunax and alduin. all but alduin and the skelital dragon mesh's can have their textures swapped with only a tad bit of tweeking to make up for extra horns and eye ridges. so to make MMD more interesting i've been doing pallet swaps with some of the meshes RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - TGE - 04-16-2012 Why do you always double post? RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - TGE - 04-17-2012 That texture looks abit bland. Try giving it some detail like shading and metal scratches RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - valforwing - 04-18-2012 which one's texture? the transformers don't actually have textures outside of soundwave's glass cover on his tape deck, and the autobot logos on grimlock. they have metalic sph files that give them extra sheen. the allspark cube has textures taken from the movie's 3D model, it also has the same sph file attatched to it. note it's not as shiny as grimlock though, textures kinda dilute the shiny factor alot. i'm trying to make them more metal like in the film but still keep their G1 colors and iconic shapes. I found Slag, Sludge and Snarl (only Slag is finished though) for some odd reason part of slag's tail is inverted...like you can see the inside from the outside. RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - TGE - 04-18-2012 I meant the textures of the Transformer.
