RE: The 3DS - Maxpphire - 08-19-2010 DSi XL is 190 and the DSi is 170 Either way, Handhelds tend to not be more expensive then most non handheld game systems. Plus this: Quote:Then again, going on Nintendo's general target audience (casuals who aren't usually too interested in shelling out lots of money for games), I still think it'll cost at least the same as the Wii. RE: The 3DS - Woppet* - 08-19-2010 Well im pretty sure when the DS came out it was more expensive than the Gamecube, which was the current Nintendo home console of the time. And since they always bring out a new hand held before they bring out a new home console, i imagine the 3DS will probably go the same way, costing more than the Wii. RE: The 3DS - Negative-Zer0 - 08-21-2010 Yea, they're working on a new console any way. Then, in the comments, a good number of people said basically what Lunkya just said. Having the specs of a gamecube wouldn't have much to do with the cost though, so Im geussing it will cost 300 bucks only because of the 3D abilities it has. which also redefines the HHC's (Hand Held Consoles). I'm also doubting nintendo will release this at 100$-200$ RE: The 3DS - Ninspriterx - 08-22-2010 (08-19-2010, 04:45 PM)Woppet Wrote: Well im pretty sure when the DS came out it was more expensive than the Gamecube, which was the current Nintendo home console of the time. I'm pretty positive they were both originally $150. or $149.99 RE: The 3DS - Negative-Zer0 - 08-23-2010 The 3DS arguably has the strongest launch lineup of any console Handheld or Console. RE: The 3DS - Omegajak - 09-29-2010 There is no argument for what I'm witnessing and am taking as launch titles. Systems gonna own Western lineup better be even or on par. Peace. RE: The 3DS - JarJar - 09-29-2010 Quote: The 3DS has also been announced to have a Virtual Console for old GameBoy and GameBoy Advance games Well this solves plenty. Will get. Yes but, at the time of the DS's release, the gamecube had dropped down its price to much cheaper. RE: The 3DS - Sengir - 09-29-2010 With Pokemon's US release after the 3DS' it could really hurt sales unless they added some sort of secret 3D mode or something RE: The 3DS - Omegajak - 09-29-2010 (09-29-2010, 10:00 AM)NorskSengirDev Wrote: With Pokemon's US release after the 3DS' it could really hurt sales It's Nintendo. 1st party, they know how to print money. Besides the West seems to always receive the dessert with their dinner when it comes to games. Game modes and special features always seem to come to us and we didn't even know that they changed anything. For all we know they already have a huge marketing campaign aimed to make sure you buy 2 launch titles WITH Black and White 3D. Also: Megaman Legends 3 officially annouced and the boys at Capcom are as excited as we are. Not that there wasn't already insta bought status on this system already, but this is just like I don't even know...Like this is quite possibly some of the greatest news ever. Plus with the graphical capability and options the 3DS gives you, going on a Dig with Vollnut is going to be completely fresh, new and awesome in pretty much every way. Does it help that now the gamecube literally only costs $30 and that I've Seen N64s, Sega Gensises, and NES/SNESs at a higher price then this. Gamecube is apparently the bane of non-handheld game systems. (09-29-2010, 11:44 AM)Burn Wrote: Konami I want these so far. RE: The 3DS - A.J.
