I was planning on getting started with the backgrounds next, and then work my way back around to fixing the main character and stuff

I'll try to work on some samples next :>

The background's going to follow a different style than the characters, just to have a contrast between what's living and what isn't. Namely, the background's going to have a low saturation color scheme, but unlike the characters, the background will have shading. Of course, there will be the completely black areas in the background for the stealth aspect, but yeah.

also thanks for the comments, guys~
I'm really trying to stay on track for this, but it's just that I've been busy lately :<
(YES GEARS OF WAR 2/FALLOUT 3/SAINTS ROW 2/CASTLEVANIA = BUSY OKAYYY)

RE: Experimental style ITT - Rosencrantz - 11-27-2008

EDIT:

following LG's advice, I began work on background stuff

but none of it's presentable atm, so I'll just post a finished TITLE SCREEN

WITH TITLE

Jesus christ it took me forever to make the title logo

But yes; I decided to call this entire project "Silhouette"
:>

and I'll post more stuff when I can get around to spriting more okay~

RE: Experimental style ITT - GrooveMan.exe - 04-21-2009

His chest puffs out a little unnaturally far, but it's cool otherwise~

RE: Experimental style ITT - Rakia - 04-21-2009

I think that's to show that it does puff out, I'm not sure if it were smaller, it would be seen.

Not to mention that you practice while doing the world&enemies, if you do the played last, you will have more skill ^^

Now that is just so rad very smooth animation a little too much with the chest and all like grooveman said but it looks great other than that. I approve!

RE: Experimental style ITT - TPoe - 04-22-2009

With the knife attack thingy, it's in the wrong hand isn't it?

RE: Experimental style ITT - WaxPoetic - 04-22-2009

I think I have the name for your game. iSpy. This guy totally reminds me of those iPod commercials they've mostly stopped showing.

RE: Experimental style ITT - Dazz - 04-22-2009

Reminds me of Trilby

Though it's a lot different obviously with only 2 colours.

That's why it reminds me so much of those iPod commercials - black sillhouette with white highlights. Am I the only one seeing this?

It's still rockin' though.
