Only real thing I'd say is if possible, make the battle scenes more fluid. What I mean is, don't make it seem so robotic. I understand it's a hard thing to do, just giving my opinion. You do a nice job though none the less with this program.

heh the box thing is really cool
if u get a chance watch the video again, and pay attention to the floor
a second pair of snakes is actually danceing underneith the models.
each snake controls one box so i added a bit more...and every once in a while the hidden snake's hand's pass through the floor like zombies!

i think the problem with the movement is the fight motion data that i was useing is that it's actually made for Luka and Miku Hatsune and not any other models..the camera angles are also set for the height of the original models not the KH models i was useing.. hence why the Vantias on the stairs was haveing a hard time staying in camera...the halloween models are the new improved sora models, we have'nt gotten them all updated yet and i was just reuseing the old models one last time

here is what they look like with out the crazy aniamtion
http://valforwing.deviantart.com/#/d2yuhpn
i made them by combineing anti form textures and regular textures and a eye file texture of Vanitas from birth by Sleep

As the old saying goes, you can never have too many models!

RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - valforwing - 09-30-2010

so true so true
oh here is a stage that I converted from the Wii Training stage from the SSBB submission
http://valforwing.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2xatry

I'm not shure what it actually looks like in game, because i have no wii but it looks pretty epic in MMD, it looks kinda like the final boss area for KH2 but with no floor or markings.

Just so you know, the objects with the mario silhouette texture in all the SSBB stages aren't actually a part of the level. I think they're for collision or something because they don't show up ingame at all.

really? thats how they turned out in Blender when I converted them to x.files. any suggestions how to convert the actuall textures into the model instead of what i got here? remove the collision textures from the folder maybe?

RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - Shadowth117 - 10-01-2010

Well I don't even know exactly what it is, but I'm guessing its collision. Just either delete or set the objects using the silhouette texture not to render.

Collision? I saw that in a few of the SSBB model's when I tried to convert them they always came out wrong. i'm learning little by little.

ocassinaly though mess ups in modeling/converting create "Interesting" results. this was originally the Test Level model from one of the sonic games, when I converted it only parts of the texture came through, but the parts that were missing, instead of turning into ugly white spots...turned invisable.

it looks like some kind of Twilight Zone Nintendo game.

RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - Shadowth117 - 10-02-2010

Ah yeah, I remember ripping that. Not sure why the white spots came up, but its because there aren't many actual textures for that. Most of the materials are just colors. Also, I'm not really sure why the normals seem to have come out odd in your picture since I fixed those before uploading the model.

RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - valforwing - 10-02-2010

no clue either, But it makes for an interesting stage none the less,

now what i have here is my faverite thing to do with these models
I have created what looks like a screen shot for a new KH game (minus the watermark in the background)
http://valforwing.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2x6lfy

I'm glad Zerox is so good at ripping models other wise I'd never be able to create anything good.

Aww, I don't get any credit for model rips?

But yeah, despite the unlikelihood of that scene happening its pretty cool nonetheless. You might wanna increase the picture size as some people have said in the comments and maybe give it better anti-aliasing.

I would credit u too but i'm kinda swamped with the models and alot of the read me's did'nt end up on my computer so i'm not quite shure whose models are whose, I only know that i'm not allowed to convert Zerox's models into MMD items, I'm allowed to convert them into "items" such as small dolls but i can't convert them into full models.
and after alot of trial and error i found out my MMD screenshot option is messed up, now days i use Snip to take the picture. which is why alot of my pictures have a red line around them now. I'll try to acuratly credit u in the new birthday pack submission,

RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - Shadowth117 - 10-03-2010

Well even if you can't see the readmes, you could at least look at the submitter in the "Sheet" info on the download page for each model. Still, you should be able to see the readme if you can get the model and textures just fine.

RE: What are you doing with ripped models? - Zerox - 10-03-2010

I never said you couldn't use my models. >< I just said that at that point in time I and a team of friends were making conversions to it with bones and just converting unboned models was a step in the backwards direction because the reasonable\easy method for converting things to MMD with the intent of giving them skeletons is to do it from a .x file so that you can make sure they're the right scale and such.

But anyway that's a discussion best had in pms or something as it's a bit off-topic to this thread.

Anyway more on-topic, a good way to find out what models were done by a person is to type their username (replacing my name with someone else's) in this link: http://www.models-resource.com/submitter/Zerox this will give you all the models submitted by that person.
