RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Yawackhary - 06-27-2011 Added: Soul Blade Super (Genesis) Fighters There are some moves that only the CPU can do making it harder to both play and to rip. Luckily they are complete (unless there are any unused poses at all but the game can't be ROM ripped as explained above with a different game but it is the same in all pirated fighting games). Oh and I do wonder if Colette Brunel from the Tales series was at least partly inspirated by Sophitia, after all they are both from Namco games (and Namco sometimes either used previous games or other companies games [coughSegacough] as inspiration if they were struggling at the time). Maybe it is wrong, I don't know. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 06-27-2011 Very nice job! RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Davy Jones - 06-27-2011 These fighters are cool RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Insanius - 07-01-2011 I've acquired the ability to rip all sprites from KOF XIII but it pains me to inform you all that I've entered an agreement not to release them until October when the game comes to consoles. However, with a slight modification my method could also work for KOF XII so expect something there soon. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Dazz - 07-01-2011 Hey, that's cool man - we had to make the same agreement with a company in the past. It's understandable. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Magma MK-II - 07-02-2011 We can wait. Besides, when official comes out there will be the console exclusives! RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 07-03-2011 I don't know if I said this yet, but I wonder if Killer Instinct is as easy to rip as the DKC games? RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Cyrus Annihilator - 07-04-2011 Insanius: "I've acquired the ability to rip all sprites from KOF XIII but it pains me to inform you all that I've entered an agreement not to release them until October when the game comes to consoles. A new submission: In the site, Fatal Fury 1 and 2 (for the SNES) are together, but I made a icon to specify thats from FF Special (the sprites are different from FF1). Tonberry2k: "I don't know if I said this yet, but I wonder if Killer Instinct is as easy to rip as the DKC games?" Man, I saw (in Zophar's Domain) a program that said it converts the information of Killer Inst. rom to graphic files and could be used to rip any graphic. I downloaded and couldn't understand how to use... RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 07-05-2011 Wow, that sounds awesome. I'll have to have a look, or have someone much smarter than myself look into it. Thanks for the submission! RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Cyrus Annihilator - 07-05-2011 To make thinks faster: Killer Instinct Image Explorer This utility lets you decode images in the Killer Instinct ROM. You can dump sprite data and intro movie frames, and possibly much more. MrClick's HiColEd Similar to Killer Instinct Image Explorer, this views 16bpb bitmap graphics from the Killer Instinct hard drive image. from SNES Utilities - Zophar's Domain too complicated for me, couldn't understand nothing... RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Yawackhary - 07-05-2011 The first tool is for DOS that might require knowledge of command line (plus it depends if it can be run on Windows) and the second one might not even be for the SNES version (it mentions Hard Drive image, the arcade version had a hard drive plus it mentions 16bpp, the SNES didn't have that graphic mode as far as I know). RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 07-06-2011 Hm, I don't know much about Arcade tools. Anyone any good at this kind of stuff? RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Dazz - 07-06-2011 I believe that MAME has a built in tile viewer... RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Random Talking Bush - 07-06-2011 (07-06-2011, 05:08 AM)Dazz Wrote: I believe that MAME has a built in tile viewer...Doesn't work for every game, though. For example, Super Puzzle Bobble didn't -- I ended up getting its sprites through memory dumps while emulating it in MAME. Either way... Mr. C, if you want to rip Boogerman's sprites, you can. I'll just stick to the ClayFighter: Sculptor's Cut EarthWorm Jim, then I'll call it quits for that game. I've been quite busy recently, so I haven't gotten much time to rip sprites lately, so I probably won't get a chance to rip his sprites anytime soon. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Mr. C - 07-06-2011 Alright. I'll do him after I'm done with Lockjaw. It's very near completion. I just need to get that truck... |
