I'll suggest a little more fluidity in the leg movement. Or is it intentional ?

It's intentional. I didn't want the animations to be super fluid.

RE: Redoing sprites - Lexou Duck - 03-28-2010

Well then, i'm gonna ask... Plan on making arms ? Tongue

RE: Redoing sprites - Medevenx - 03-28-2010

I do, but he's gonna have different guns so I don't wanna have to redo a lot of it.

RE: Redoing sprites - Lexou Duck - 03-28-2010

Oh, like, multiple layered ?

RE: Redoing sprites - Medevenx - 03-28-2010

Kinda'. I animated it in parts.

Anyway, here's a scientist you rescue.

Still need to get him more in style.

Arms? Never!

RE: Redoing sprites - Medevenx - 03-29-2010

Sorry for the double post

But you have to protect the armless scientist from misunderstood creatures!

I know the big mushroom needs a lot of work (spots were very random), it was rushed because I need to get some sleep now. I'll probably redo the cockroach into my old designs, because I'm not liking how the wings look oval (looks like a ladybug now). I'm happy with the way the small mushroom came out, but I'm gonna have to change its color scheme. Anyone got any suggestions?

RE: Redoing sprites - Cobalt Blue - 03-29-2010

the more you redo those sprites, the less i like them, compared to the previous ones.

RE: Redoing sprites - Codestar - 03-29-2010

The colors are waaaaaaaaaaaay too dark, you need to add some contrast to it all. also his knees need to bend a little when his legs are stretched all they way out.

How's this then?

Didn't want the roach to fly too fast, maybe it'll be faster in-game. The flower will probably spit a lot more crap in-game.

RE: Redoing sprites - Cobalt Blue - 03-29-2010

this is just asking for more saturated colors and less white outlines.

I am so confused. Teach me master. Cute

RE: Redoing sprites - Rhyme - 03-29-2010

saturate the colors, use a grey/black outline/none at all.

with more saturated colors, you wont need the white outline to make them stand out.
