RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 03-24-2011 Holy crap, Ulty! I love seeing your notes in the sheet, Yawackhary. If you get bored enough to look deeper into the YY-CHR please let me know. Maxim thanks a lot! I'll try it out shortly. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ultimecia - 03-24-2011 I'm pretty sure you missed my listing skills :p I'll be resuming my spriting activities soon I hope RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Yawackhary - 03-25-2011 Decided to do it this way due to the fact in the Genesis version, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile are recolours of each other (The reason why Sub-Zero's palette was chosen because he had an extra colour compared to the others to make recolouring easier but resulting in nearly a complete re-rip) with only a few sprites that are different (fatalilties and special moves). Thanks Maxim for the help even though I forgot to save the palette that you gave me and ended up doing it myself. There will be more rips from me to come after my vacation. Also a few arcade games do have animation viewers in them such as Street Fighter 2 and Fatal Fury Special to make it easier to rip. Oh and due to the fact that fighting games are the most complex with the amount of poses, can this project go on a bit longer than the others? It is so it can give people a chance for more rips. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 03-25-2011 It'll probably have to go on longer out of necessity. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 03-25-2011 It'll probably have to go on longer out of necessity. Also, internet wasn't working last night, so I had time to do this; RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Magma MK-II - 03-25-2011 Funny that nobody mentioned Neo-Geo yet! Neo-geo was the best for fighting games! I believe I can rip some characters from some games. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 03-25-2011 Should we refocus to maybe Genesis/SNES fighters? RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 03-25-2011 This isn't going so well. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - A.J. Nitro - 03-25-2011 What's not going well with it exactly? RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Enscripture - 03-25-2011 (03-21-2011, 12:57 PM)Dazz Wrote: I wonder if there was a way we could edit the palette data in a snes rom to change the background colours. N. helped me on this actually. It was for Alien Vs. Predator on the SNES using ZSNES but we found out it works on multiple games. It doesn't work on every game, because sometimes the background will just flash, instead of changing color, so this Artmoney table might be helpful. I'm not good at Artmoney stuff, so I can't help with any address searching~ RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Maxim - 03-25-2011 Work-in-progress: Raven (Eternal Champions - Challenge from the Dark Side, Sega CD) http://i644.photobucket.com/albums/uu166/Maxim82_bucket/Raven_wip.png Her Shadow is giving me a headache, because it's constantly overlapping with the CPU Player's Shadow. Do you mind if i remove it completely for the final version? RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 03-25-2011 I meant it's not going well because of the black and overlapping sprites and taking forever. I need to learn how to tile rip.
