RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - Rapidkirby3k - 03-01-2016 Here's another one I thought was similar, despite many differences: Cool Spot (SEGA) - Rave DanceTune Cappella - U Got 2 Know (Underground Mix) Was originally going to post Vortex (SNES) + Cappella, but I'm not for certain if I could post tunes with similar samples here or in a brand new topic. Anyway, enjoy. B) RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - Gors - 03-01-2016 this makes no sense being in general discussion forum moving RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - miyabi95_ - 03-02-2016 This match caught me by surprise! RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - miyabi95_ - 03-10-2016 RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - Darky's Manifestation - 03-13-2016 I always thought that these two sound a lot like eachother. it's just the heavy focus on percussion really, but it still is pretty cool how much they sound alike RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - SuperFlomm - 03-22-2016 The Urbz: Sims in the City - Squeegee Clean Jess Glynne - Hold My Hand RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - miyabi95_ - 03-23-2016 I found this really ridiculous...To a point where I wanted to include this comparison in the bootleg thread. But I'll give SEGA the benefit of the doubt - it may have been a coincidence. (Bloxeed came out about a year if not some months after Valkyrie no Densetsu) RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - Gors - 03-24-2016 I don't know, I can see the resemblance but it's not the same exact thing now the main tune of these are too similar RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - miyabi95_ - 03-25-2016 (03-24-2016, 06:55 PM)gors Wrote: I don't know, I can see the resemblance but it's not the same exact thing [music nerd talk] It's that "Canon in D Major" trope that musicians have implemented for years when their too lazy to come up with their own chord progression. Just the same chords over and over. Not really bashing this music in particular, but this kinda thing is getting old for me personally. RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - miyabi95_ - 03-30-2016 Found an interesting article circling Facebook about SEGA's classic action game Quartet. https://thesegasource.wordpress.com/2011/11/09/classic-sega-music-quartet-theme/ I can't say Quartet is a favorite of mine, but I do like this theme song :>. RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - SuperFlomm - 04-07-2016 The Lab - The Rhythm Core Trio - Da Da Da RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - miyabi95_ - 04-25-2016 RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - Hiynastrike - 04-26-2016 It seems like a lawyer friendly version if not a homage to the heavy big band piece Sing Sing Sing by Benny Goodman http://youtu.be/fhyhP_5VfKM Title from Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow (SNES) http://youtu.be/-RqXgoUv6Pg RE: Similar tunes in Vidya games [REVIVED!] - miyabi95_ - 04-27-2016 That's odd. You'd think Disney would easily obtain the rights of Goodman's swing tune. They are Disney afterall.
