RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Kirbyfan - 01-20-2009 Ok guys......but how do I do not edits less, if I don't know how to do anything else? RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Previous - 01-20-2009 Open paint, place pixels, create a sprite. RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Kirbyfan - 01-20-2009 Custom: Olimar from Pikmin Changes from Original: - Body is more proportionate - Color Choice and Shading is better - Bowl is transparent to background - Some edits here and there Areas in need of Improvement: - Body still isn't quite proportionate - Body color could be better - Shading needs some improvement - Bowl should be transparent to any background - Needs some editing here and there Comments? RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Chris2Balls [:B] - 01-20-2009 The helmet is pillow-shaded, and so is the ball of his antenna. Which is not a good thing, and it also means that you don't have a fixed lightsource: try and create one and shade accordingly. I think his nose could be bigger and the part of the ear facing his face should be AAd. That's all. Looking forward to progress! Good luck! RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Gors - 01-20-2009 I think that the ball on his antenna is fine, if it's glowing. RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Kirbyfan - 01-20-2009 The helmet isn't quite pillow shaded, but it doesn't match the light source (which is the top-right), thanks for pointin' that out. I'll AA the ear, hopefully I actually do it right. EDIT: RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Kirbyfan - 01-20-2009 Custom: Olimar from Pikmin Changes from last sprite: -Better colors -Larger reuse of colors -Better shading -Head area and bowl majorly improved -Some slight editing Areas in need of Improvement: -Color Choice -Shading -Style Matching -Proportions Special thanks to Chris for helpin' me with all above shoulders. Let have a little comparison: Original: Newest: RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Chris2Balls [:B] - 01-21-2009 I think you should make the "bubble" white lighter: remember, this is an optical effect created by light (it's the lightsource reflecting off the glass). The helmet outline could do with a bit of AA. RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Kirbyfan - 01-21-2009 Ok, I'll do those right now. Edit: I don't think I did the AA right on bowl, because I don't know how if the background will be different depending on were he is. Instead, I put a somewhat lighter shade on some of outline of the inside. RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Chris2Balls [:B] - 01-21-2009 You should've done that on the outside, it works in may cases. If unsure, just test on different backgrounds. RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Chris2Balls [:B] - 01-21-2009 Maybe you're using a too light a shade. Anyway look around on the forum for examples, there are some in Pokemon Pink (Sprite Projects) I think. RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Kirbyfan - 01-21-2009 I'm still having some trouble, but I got more on IC's: Thanx to Solink for some help. RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Kirbyfan - 02-14-2009 It's Rick!!!!!! RE: Kirbyfan42's Topic - Ngamer01 - 02-14-2009 You shouldn't use gradient shading on Rick. Reshade it to take the gradients out. Also the brown patches in Rick's fur is jagged. Smooth the brown patches out. Other than these two things, I like where you're going with Rick. |
