RE: MFGG Sprite Competitions are Hillarious - Rakia - 05-05-2009 How did Des NOT win this? I'm sorry bab, yours was amazing (second of course) but how did the worst one win...? This proves that mfgg well is mfgg and no good can come of it! RE: MFGG Sprite Competitions are Hillarious - Star - 05-05-2009 I think Omega has a point(from what he is trying to say)but ..the way I look at it, other sprites on the compo(like Clownman's)were sprited alot better than Peardin's(no offense to him)and had a pretty close amout of poses and "freedom" as his did. I would think one of those other entries would be in 1st but that's just me. I believe in both quantity and quality. The reason I thought BAB deserved to win is he was going for a specific style and he fit it almost perfectly and with the style he chose, you can't expect a broad range of poses. Des was going for a style as well from what I remember, I believe it was Metal Slug but it seemed kinda out of style to me. It's still a beautiful sprite though. But what's done is done, no use debating over it. It's just a compo. Yes. Poop is bad. Having a lot of poop doesn't make bad poop better. RE: MFGG Sprite Competitions are Hillarious - Jalopes - 05-05-2009 Yeah, MFGG people are known for picking the biggest sheets, regardless of how nice the sprite is. I didn't though MFGG is a good place to hang out, but the sprite comps are definitely stupid, anybody could win regardless of how nice the sheet/sprite is. RE: MFGG Sprite Competitions are Hillarious - Toastypk - 05-06-2009 Way to pointlessly bash MFGG guys. :\ I haven't seen the sprite comp myself but going THE BEST SPRITE LOST MFGG IS A STUPID PLACE isn't cool. RE: MFGG Sprite Competitions are Hillarious - Toastypk - 05-06-2009 Because a sprite competition is totally indicative of the how the board is. Maybe a really good entry didn't win, and that might be fairly off to some, but if something like a sprite competition is going to get someone that riled up... I didn't though no it definitely is not I don't know. BAB's and Des's are great, looking at them, and Peardian's just...really doesn't even look like the boss at all or look good. BAB's fit's the style he was aiming for the most, and Des's is sprited quite well- they should have gotten 1st and 2nd, ClownMan 3rd, and etc. Not trying to be mean here, but that's my thoughts. RE: MFGG Sprite Competitions are Hillarious - Chaoxys - 05-06-2009 Wow, sure is a bunch of whinning in here. Seriously, you didn't get a little badge on a forum, life goes on. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't think Pears' entry deserved to win, or to be in the top 5 for that matter, but dear lord people, it's just a small part of the whole site. And Dex, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you say you hated it because people didn't give good crits of your work? RE: MFGG Sprite Competitions are Hillarious - tsr moderation staff - 05-06-2009 Nobody said MFGG was stupid because they didn't win or some crap. They were just pointing it out as an example. RE: MFGG Sprite Competitions are Hillarious - LeleleleMAXIMUM - 05-06-2009 Grapes, etc. There is no accounting for tastes. Jesus Christ, honestly. If you're saying LOL MFGGOT, then you shouldn't be reacting this much to a buncha fagmites choosing an ugly piece over yours. Just let it go. |
