Why are so many people lacking in reading skills today? Read more please.

I don't think any of the sheets are bad, really. Peardian won because he had a "full" sheet and not just a sprite. Bab's had the best detail, but I guess they thought that Pear's would be the most useful. None of the sheets there are bad. I'm actually impressed by the quality of them.

Facepalming at an incredible rate right now, in MFAG's direction. The community tips the scale on retards, the intelligence is almost non existent sometimes.

in this topic: community wars II

RE: MFGG Sprite Competitions are Hillarious - Cobalt Blue - 05-06-2009

exactly what i was thinking. not like they would make a thread at our current compo and say "TSR Sprite Competitions are Hillarious ". if we're better in terms of entries, lets just be humble and stay cool. we know who should win despite popularity/comunity relationships, despite what a .png badge on a completely random forum's profile says.

so over anything you should be proud to be able to analize what you saw from a technical point of view, because it means you really understand what you're doing, and you can take your own decision based on your knowledge over any other random factor.

I don't see why you're wasting your time there Bab. You don't seem to like the place, so why bother? This gives you one more reason to ignore it.
I would've said:
1.Badassbill
2.Des
3.Clownman
because of the quality of rock rendition.
I do see why Peardian's was chosen (it's very complete) but that comes to the price of the rock rendition.
In a competition it's mostly up to the voters to like your piece more than you liking it, never matter what, if you see what I mean. I don't think this overreaction nor this thread was necessary. You're losing more dignity than gaining some in my opinion. I think we've all felt we've been cheated from victory on several occasions, but so what, we've always got another try. You're an adult, so just pull yourself together and end this pathetic argument. I know you don't give a shit but this thread and reaction really disappoint me, you being a seasoned spriter and getting pissed real bad by this *and because I always looked up at you*.

Yeah, I think he's right. It's okay if Peardian won. That won't kill you, and hving another small 32x32 .gif image won't make him awesome. There are more important things in your life, I'm sure of that.

RE: MFGG Sprite Competitions are Hillarious - Kitsu - 05-06-2009

Though I agree that Peardian's sheet wasn't as good, you have to remember that MFGG isn't a spriting forum. More than likely, the people there like to vote for stuff that is the most easily useful for games, not necessarily the best in other ways. Also, if I'm correct, Peardian has already produced large quantities of other sprites in the same style, meaning that game-makers there can use these sprites along with the others in his collection.

It is somewhat frustrating, but understandable.

RE: MFGG Sprite Competitions are Hillarious - Cobalt Blue - 05-06-2009

no one sees the point of this thread as it just being a huge ad sign towards bab's piece.

Is that why you stayed with us for so long until you got banned?

also this looks more like a 'Boo hoo I didn't like the sprite that won and I lost MFGG SUCKS' topic to me
