RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - HandToeKnee - 11-14-2011 SNES MK3 Sindel's finished, with what looks to me like a giant hair/turd fatality RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 11-14-2011 Awesome! She was one of the new MK3 characters I really didn't like when the game came out. She's gotten better though. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - HandToeKnee - 11-14-2011 I'd never played as her before, ever. The same with Kabal, Stryker and Sheeva. I never was a big MK3 fan to be honest. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 11-15-2011 Really, the only new characters I liked in Mk3 were the robots, Kabal, and... Uh... RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Magma MK-II - 11-15-2011 The only new character I really didn't liked was Nightwolf. He always seemed like a Chief Thunder ripoff for me, and he really didn't fit with the rest of the cast. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 11-15-2011 I hated Nightwolf. And Stryker. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - HandToeKnee - 11-15-2011 I totally forgot about Nightwolf. I'm saving that fuck for last. By the way, I don't now if any of you is bothered but I've got MAME running again (and when I say MAME, I mean all my codes with Artmoney I spent ages finding) So some long awaited Killer Instinct 2 is inbound RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 11-16-2011 Cannot thank enough. Was KI finished? RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - HandToeKnee - 11-16-2011 No. Not yet. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - HandToeKnee - 11-21-2011 I'm doing some Killer Instinct Gold Texture Dumping - is anybody bothered or Should I just carry on with SNES Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat 3 ? Seriously, what do you all think ? RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Ton - 11-22-2011 I'm the kinda guy who likes to complete one game before moving on, but if you're bored and want to come back later, I say do it! RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - Davy Jones - 11-22-2011 you should do what you like most, if you feel like ripping more KI instead of MK3, go ahead. RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - DrKelexo - 11-23-2011 Battle Monsters RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - HandToeKnee - 11-25-2011 Here's Jax from SNES MK3 I think I will finish up what I've already started, actually. That way I'm know what I'm doing RE: Sprite Ripping Project 4: 2-D Fighting Games - DrKelexo - 11-25-2011 The rest, at least the rest I can rip at the moment, once again from Battle Monsters I have a strange, random question: The sprite posted/linked here is a raw BMP ripped from yabuse before any editing is applied. The problem I'm having is the background is forced into 0,0,0 black, and if the character palette has 0,0,0 in it (like this one and two other characters do) then I can't make it transparent. HOWEVER, this sprite has peculiar effects depending on which browser its loaded in. In firefox, it'll probably have a broken hue, IE the shirt will be blue and not red. In Chrome, the file will have working and correct transparency. So the only way I can easily get transparency for this sprite is by loading each file into chrome and copy/pasting it into an image editor. That seems a bit tedious but I'm willing to do it if necessary. But I'd like to post it here and see if you guys can figure out an easier method. |
