Ghost in the Shell is pretty much my favourite thing ever

but I think I like the movies more than the series!
The movie based on the series (Solid State Society?) was kind of lame. It was a bit like Innocence with LESS AWESOME.

Viper, if you do watch ghost in the shell, keep in mind that the first film and innocence are a separate continuity to the series + solid state society. Otherwise it won't make much sense.

Also don't watch Ghost in the Shell 2.0 WATCH THE ORIGINAL VERSION IT IS SUPERIOR.

what about naruto, kosheh

RE: Visually, the graphics are impressive. - Kosheh - 03-07-2010

naruto would have been a good anime if it didn't have fucking years of filler

even if it didn't have all that filler, it can't really hold its own against fist of the north star, the ORIGINAL fighting anime

if i could be any anime character id be kenshiro Smile

RE: Visually, the graphics are impressive. - Vipershark - 03-07-2010

what about samurai champloo

my friend (who rarely watches anime) is a huge fan of it and says I should watch it

RE: Visually, the graphics are impressive. - Kosheh - 03-07-2010

hmm, i liked samurai champloo, it's by the same people who made cowboy bebop

i've got nothing bad to say about it except that i don't like shing02 :V

fist of the north star, terribly entertaining series and moves

i do have to say i need to watch gits (ghost in the shell) and more cowboy bebop (and perhaps samurai champloo??)
evangelion's okay, gto and young gto are absolutely amazing along with 20th century boys

RE: Visually, the graphics are impressive. - Vipershark - 03-07-2010

okay so I need to watch:

Fist of the north star
ghost in the shell
cowboy bebop
samurai champloo
FMA
(oh, and finish gurren lagann)

what else?

I see jojo's bizarre adventure posted a lot. I tried reading the manga once and didn't like it.
Should I try the anime?

RE: Visually, the graphics are impressive. - PrettyNier - 03-07-2010

brotherhood specifically

unless you're already part way through the first in which case might as well finish that

RE: Visually, the graphics are impressive. - Chutzpar - 03-07-2010

I kind of liked Ergo Proxy, personally!

It is like Ghost in the shell with the humour turned down and the angst turned up.
Takes a while to get into and Re-L is even more of an UNENDING BITCH than Major Kusanagi, though.
