funny story:
i am in a number of computer science classes (4). the one "nerdiest" one [unix/linux the one i have today] ironically has the least nerdiest/annoying as hell people

So I have jaw issues and trouble opening my mouth, it makes things hard to eat, makes it hard to yawn, and hard to talk because it hurts and it is stuck and not properly lined up it seems. It has been like this for a while.
I decided to measure the space between my teeth with my mouth as open as I could get it. It's only an Inch. What the fuck.

Sounds a bit like a problem I have from time to time, I took a nasty punch years ago that tore the cartilage in my jaw and pulled the joint out of the socket, so now it doesn't sit right anymore and occasionally it decides to throw a tantrum and refuses to open properly.
Try putting pressure on the joint just below your ear as you open your mouth, basically force it to stay in the socket (note: this shouldn't hurt at all, if it hurts stop it) it usually won't fix the problem but if you can open your mouth you at least know what the issue is, and I've found that occasionally just getting it re-seated can help a buttload.

Welp, didn't work at all, it doesn't feel my jaw joint it under my ear, but it feels a little bit more forward then that, like right under that end of the cheekbone. I never really had been Punched in the face but when I was 11, I used to have to crack that joint to open all of the way (and It could happen just by me opening my mouth) and the past couple of years or so, it's been refusing to "crack" so to speak I guess but it has gotten more tight and restricted too.
Also is my jaw is relaxed and I'm not having my teeth closed together it looks like I have a sidebite (which I don't have if my mouth is closed to the teeth, just my normal small overbite)

Hmm, that almost sounds like lockjaw to me, without being able to examine you myself I can't really give you much advice, my suggestion would be to hold a warm compress against the area (that's cleverspeak for a wet flannel or a towel or something) to hopefully relax the muscles, and if the problem persists see a doctor as soon as you can.
There are a number of causes for this kind of problem, most of them are nothing to worry about, but it's definitely worth checking to make sure it isn't a symptom of something more serious.
(honestly I'm pretty sure it's nothing, but it's always worth checking with a non-internets doctor for this kind of discomfort)

Since it has been like this for probably about 2 years or so, I can pretty much assume it's not much more then possibly just the single thing. I keep trying to find a doctor, I really don't know how to go about finding a doctor, I've kinda pretty much nagged my mom to help me at this point but she still hasn't yet, so I'll just keep trying. It's just an annoyance now but it would be nice to get it fixed.
