Long time visitor, first time poster here. Thought I'd finally contribute something to this glorious site. Tongue
Only thing I'm unsure about is shirt color, I've done these assuming any color is viable and wouldn't be included as one of the five printed colors. Is this correct?

I think it'd be better using something other than the GB Donkey Kong sprites - but that does seem cool.

They're actually the sprites from the DKC pirate for the NES.

It was an easy fix for the color limitations, but I'd rather use the original sprites now you mention it. Updated (with palette lowered):
