Robotics - Britt - 11-10-2010 First real sprite in a long time, trying to get back in the game Already started cleaning the outline on the top half, any nitpiks before I finish up the outline? Ok RE: Robotics - Proton - 11-10-2010 I don't like the missing pixels around the shaded ring, but the design is smooth and should be finished. RE: Robotics - Britt - 11-10-2010 Sometimes I go a little overboard with the SE. I will fix that now. Edit: Better? RE: Robotics - Britt - 11-11-2010 I haven't had much experience shading metal, anything need fixing so far? RE: Robotics - Cobalt Blue - 11-11-2010 too many shades, and the highlights onm the disc part of the robot doesnt really follow the lightsource. no matter how polished or curved it may be, it wouldn't cast such shadow unless its made of chrome, and if was meant to be chrome, said dark shades are reflections of its enviroment, because the actual surface of the metal's shadow would still fade out like any other object. as far as i see the structure and placement of teh legs doesnt really work. as for now, the back leg(third one from left to right) should be placed a few pixels up and its leg/foot would follow said perspective, facing the background. after all they're suposed to be a tripod and as such it is imposible that two legs are facing exact opposite directions. |
