Source models - A darker shade of Black - 11-02-2011 I was just wondering if there was any reason there are no Half Life or TF2 models on here? Its just they are relatively simple to convert, you don't even need to rip them so I find it odd that they're not on here yet. I'll do it if there's no issue. RE: Source models - Friedslick6 - 11-03-2011 There shouldn't be any issues with submitting Source models, as long as you follow the Submission Guidelines. So would this be OK. It was originally in .mdl format. <Image Removed> Here's a link to it. RE: Source models - Peardian - 11-03-2011 The reason is probably something along the lines of "We have these in GMod already, why would we want to export them?" I'd love to see Source models on here, especially fully-rigged TF2 characters. I'd do it myself if I could, but I'm afraid I have no knowledge or experience with the Source SDK. @Roxas358: It's best if the models is submitted as a .DAE, but adding in the .MDL with it would be a nice bonus. I wouldn't really count that as a Source game model, though, since it's clearly an imported model. Unless you were the who created the model originally, rigged it, or converted it to .mdl in the first place, then it wouldn't be right to submit it. It would be the equivalent of submitting screenshot rips of someone else's custom graphics from their SMW hack. Thanks, that's what I wanted to confirm. RE: Source models - valforwing - 11-10-2011 what was the model? the picture did'nt turn up. RE: Source models - Peardian - 11-10-2011 I presume it's the same model as in the link below it: a custom Brolly model. RE: Source models - valforwing - 11-11-2011 ahh nevermind then, i've already got a model of brolly rigged RE: Source models - valforwing - 11-24-2011 I found some TF2 Models if anyone wants them PM me. I did'nt rip them but you might find them usefull |
