maver1k_XVII's Sprite Rips - maver1k_XVII - 02-17-2014 Here is a thread where I'll be posting my sprite rips. And here are the sprites I've already submitted: As for the future plans, I am going to rip more sprites from Love Hina game and it's sequel. I still haven't touched the isometric character sprites because I never had experience with making sprite sheets before, so I guess I'll get to those after I'm done with not animated stuff. RE: maver1k_XVII's Sprite Rips - maver1k_XVII - 02-19-2014 Here is a little update: Taisen Net Gimmick: Capcom & Psikyo All Stars (Dreamcast) History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi (PS2) Not exactly what I was planning to do before because I got a sudden change of plans upon finding that Taisen Net Gimmick game. If I try to keep the story as short as possible, I was trying to find info about Counter-Strike Neo, which is a Japanese arcade Counter-Strike game I never knew existed, and I found out that there are a few rom dumps of PC-compatible arcade games floating around in the internet. I got curious so I downloaded a few of them to look what's inside. One of them was Taisen Hot Gimmick 5 and I managed to make a working Noesis plugin to view its images. It contained some NSFW images and that seriosly surprised me because the thought that there can be partial nudity in an arcade game never even crossed my mind and the only gameplay video I found was inocent enough. While I was trying to google info about that game franchise I found out that there is that obscure Taisen Net Gimmick game for Dreamcast, and the fact that it has Street Fighter characters and apparently nobody ripped anything from it before made me interested. And thats how it happened . RE: maver1k_XVII's Sprite Rips - Superjustinbros - 02-20-2014 I hope you get to Sunday VS. Magazine on PSP someday, I'd really be interested in seeing some rips of that game. RE: maver1k_XVII's Sprite Rips - maver1k_XVII - 02-21-2014 I actually took a look at Sunday VS. Magazine some time ago and unfortunately I coudnt figure out how to get anything from it. I remember that I managed to extract the main archive using some method that I found on xentax and there were some files with .far extension that apparently contain models and textures. Judging by the filenames in the .far's, there are .gim and .gmo files inside, but they are somehow different from standart ones. The images are a complete mystery to me, but the models seem to be similar to .gmo even though the headers are different. Gitmo actually manages to extract a number of valid .gim's from the .far's, but those images are totally useless. Update: more sprites! Fairy Tail: Portable Guild (PSP) Taisen Net Gimmick: Capcom & Psikyo All Stars (Dreamcast) I am about halway through with Net Gimmick's gallery now . RE: maver1k_XVII's Sprite Rips - maver1k_XVII - 02-26-2014 And here's a few more sprites. Idol Janshi Suchie-Pai Special (3DO) Yu Yu Hakusho (3DO) Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon S (3DO) PS: Has anybody submitted anything from 3DO before or am I actually the first one? RE: maver1k_XVII's Sprite Rips - Magma MK-II - 03-02-2014 It'd be cool to have some Gex RE: maver1k_XVII's Sprite Rips - maver1k_XVII - 03-03-2014 (03-02-2014, 04:27 PM)Magma Dragoon Wrote: It'd be cool to have some GexUnfortunately in Gex sprites seem to be stored in a format, different from the 3DO games I ripped before. I'll see what I can do, but as I'm not very experienced in reversing image formats I doubt that I'll manage to get any sprites out. |
