He wanted the engine to be used for some game and i think it should be this one. Listen, as much as I love Runouw's demo, he's busy. And besides the fact, it'd be nice to see what Zee can do. I mean seriously. It's not like we can't have two programmers, makes it easier on both of them.

It's not a contest. Anyone who is interested can make stuff. Not to mention, I really want to see Zee's engine, too.

Hi everyone,
To begin, sorry for my English, I'm not very good XD. Few month ago, I worked on a Super Smash Bros ( Mac, Windows and Linux ). You can test it here : Download demonstration. You can run the game with the .exe in "bin" directory. I would like to take over the project but I haven't got the sprite. Currently, physic and graphic engine is ok. See you soon. im sorry to say but this isnt very good for one: there is no background music and sprite mixing styles, two: when the character regenerates from dieing you can't see him he's not visible anymore so please work harder you got the camera script right and all but its just not that good to be a part of this project

It's just a demo make in 2 month ( sunday only ), that's why there is no music and sprite.

Sheesh. If you haven't noticed, there aren't really many sprites to use, so, for now, sprite mixing is okay. Lack of sounds and music is also excuseable, as it's just a very early engine demo.
Really, camera control and main gameplay elements should be the main focus of current work. (The sprites, too, of course...) BTW, I am currently unable to try out the demo, but when I get the chance, I'll try it out and give proper C+C.

so do to lack of original sprites here sprite mixing is okay well i guess yeah for right now until we can finish this whole project up

okay, it wasn't horrible, but it was more of a platform engine. A really slippery platform engine. You had a nice physics engine going with the boxes though.

You made that game in C++ with the SDL library? If you did so, then it's a very good start.
Myself I have strong knowledge in C++ and C#. I'm mostly programming in C# since I think it is easier. |
