Project Cloud

"Cloud Journey"

If any of you remember, this was the original idea for the first actual 'community project' for the new Spriter's Resource Community. I had the idea for a while back then and I decided to show what it was. I was joyed to find out tSRc was going to use my idea. This whole thing died later then most of you really know.
What most of you knew is that too many people wanted to be a part of this, so some of us pretended to scratch the whole idea. A secret board was made, and a select few were chosen to make up the development team. It went on for a while, we held of production a lot. I was head of the project along with Dazz. Soon the Cloud Board ended up having no activity, and I got grounded preventing me to save production. It was a complete heart breaker to see people needing to leave or whatever, and when the day came when everyone gave up.. Very Sad
Now it's really gone, but now I'm bringing it back. It's only a matter of days before I get back on the internet to do whatever. Dazz told me to start the project here, and if it gets big enough it'll end up having it's own board again; only in the Community Projects board this time.

So what about the people who don't know what Cloud Journey is?
It's a story about a 9 year-old boy who's parents died in a car crash on his last birthday. While one day at the park, he falls off a tree. When he wakes up he finds that he's surrounded by clouds. The rest is pretty much he has a huge adventure through the clouds needing to find his way to heaven.

In my time of being grounded, I've developed decently 6/9's of the game and figured out to explain any complications in the story-line.
I'll be sure to post more about cloud later..

I might be interested in coming up with HUD or enemy concepts.

This will be a 17263981723691827361928x harder job for making this game as big as it was before.
But I expect to make this bigger! not too much hope anywhere though.. 7__7

So I decided if I can't get a set amount of people in a said amount of time I'll scrap the whole idea since no one is interested.

Really up to you man. We've lost a lot of the interest, and frankly, not that's it's not a secret anymore, people won't feel like it's a cool 'in-thing' like it was before. Frankly, this project is dead in the water until we can get some competent spriters in here working. I'd help ya, but I'm not competent at spriting.

I could throw a few things your way for programming, but I don't have much time.

Get a Demo working as fast as you can, honestly. Demos, Screenshots, Mockups, they all get attention which pulls people in to work. Banners, adverts, whoring yourself, private messaging folk.

That's what I'd do if I had a community topic =p.
