Idea behind Ages was better, but Seasons just played better it seems to me.

Tyvon, see, I think both were equally great games, but yes, Majora's Mask was clearly a lot shorter, I loved the masks, the alternate reality, everything, but it was too short, this is why Ocarina of time is better to me, it was equally as impressive, but it was much longer and to me the story was a little better.

yeah ocarina of time's story was deep....really pulled at your strings...didn't even know what was gonna happen next half the time.

Why the hell does every Zelda thread become Orcarina vs Majora????
Leave it out of this thread.
Beat a dead horse some other time.

Personally liked Ages better.
Ages/Seasons(+Links Awakening) Were the best of all Zelda games imo. Cool

Majora's Mask is what every zelda game should be, while Ocarina is what every Zelda game has been doing.

its called non-predictable variety

Both were great games, but Link's Awakening tops them both

in my opinion neither are better but i had ages so i will just say ages, favorite zelda game after Windwaker.

Yes hes got a point this is not a battle between majoras mask and ocarina of time yes i have them both there great but i want your opinion on THESE GAMES
True i have both oracle of seasons and ages AND links awakening and I love the three of them
Hey guys I know this is quite of topic but how do you get a display pic?
Too many games to choose from, so many are my favourite, but there will never be a game that appeals to me, more than an RPGNinja

I have both.

Beat seasons but not ages. (ages is my brother's, and seasons got stolen so I'll just buy both and replay them lol)
I liked ages much better. It had two FULL overworlds and more to do, while seasons was stuck with subrosia (which is tiny, btw) and the season changing only worked in certain places.

I chose both, since you can mess with almost anything in ages and seasons.
Would be cool for a Zelda game that allows you to do both.

Am I missing something about OoS? (Haven't played Ages yet.) I played through Link's Awakening again (the last time being when I was.. too young to remember most of it) a few days ago, and I loved it. Then I switched to OoS, and I'm really disappointed so far. The story is so shallow compared to LA, it seems. In LA, you wash up on the beach of this strange island and are taken in by Marin, right? You find your sword on the beach, obviously, because that's where you washed up. You also get your shield from Tarin because it washed up alongside you, earlier on. That's also how he knows your name. In OoS, though, you get plopped onto the ground with no explanation as to where you were before that point in time. Everybody magically knows your name with no explanation, and immediately you get set up with the ol' damsel in distress gig. Now, I'm not one to say that washing up on an island is very original, but at the very least LA pays attention to details. Those little things like, "How did I know your name? Why, it's on the back of this shield that washed up with you!" that are completely ignored in what I've seen so far in OoS.

Sorry for being so off-topic, here, but I hear everyone saying how much they love the Oracle games, and I'm wondering what I'm missing. Do I just need to play more? There's a difference between slowly unraveling a mystery (LA) and heavy-handedly being shoved from place to place wondering why (...OoS).

The Oracle games are set after A Link to the Past as it was in LttP when Link got the full Triforce for the first time. Some time later, the Triforce summoned Link and ordered him to travel to the lands of Holodrum and Labyrnna. Everyone in those two lands already knew of Link because he had saved Hyrule back during LttP.
