Any Tips? Please?
#1
I really like to mess around in MS Paint and I've been making sprites for a while . . . problem is I'm not all that good at it. Do you have any tips?

This is my best work, everything else I've done isn't really all that good

The wii could use some AA and you should add another shade imo.

Not bad. Shading could be better, but the pixel art is acceptional.

where the HELL is my ODST helmet at?

and my Scout, for that matter?

anyway, that first Big Daddy sprite (the one next to the Big Sister) is pretty good
but the Big Sister's torso is too blocky,
second Big Daddy could be in a better pose than the whole "arms stretched out" thing
Little Sister is waaaay too blocky (and the shoulders are too big)
Spartan heads are fine (although Security's visor is a little short and the EOD's eyes could spread out a bit more), but the bodies are extremely blocky
lineart could be a little cleaner with the two monsters, but idk what to exactly crit :<
and the Wii is pretty good, but it could use some AA-ing

Sorry guys, I don't want to seem like a n00b (to late for that) but what does AA stand for (besides alcoholics anonymous Genki ^_^)

EDIT: Here is a quick edit of my Prototype Big Daddy Sprite
I added a back and an alternate one with the drill

The Spartans are way too blocky. Use curves and such. It almost seems as if you're using the line tool.

Thanks for all the tips guys . . . I'm gonna start working on using AA as soon as I can.

A little while ago I posted the Bioshock ones on the 2K Forums . . . Anywho a few of the mods liked them so I edited a few.
