Yeah, so, finally got around in doing these damn stickers. Yes, I will get around doing them all, but seriously, this took me two days, of course, with interruptions, but still. I fucking hate this. And it's not just searching for the right sticker and such, I need to align them in a certain way. Plus, I do need to add the extra info.
Anyway, as always, no credits needed: Mind you, I've done 40. That means 660 to go.

Saved, along with the other two sheets.
Take your time, GaryCXJk -- you don't have to rip them all in a frenzy. Heck, that MegaMan X sheet that I submitted a few days ago took a couple of months to rip just because I (honestly) kept getting bored, due to all the things I had to rip for that sheet... That, and I didn't have a whole lot of time to work with.

Cool stuff. Sounds like a chore, though.

There's a website with the stickers themselves posted on them. Search for it, but don't rely on Google...

Miles07 Wrote:There's a website with the stickers themselves posted on them. Search for it, but don't rely on Google... I know, it's Heinermann's. However, my method is far from simple. I use a total of three files. One with the official names of the stickers, one from a FAQ which keeps track of the power and who can use the stickers, and one with all the official file names in the right order. Then I also need to find the file names, which, luckily for me, can be done instantly in Vista by entering part of the name in the search box. So, after that, I put the sticker on the sheet, aligning them on the 16x16 grid, having the top-left part of the original image on a multple of 16 (that is, if there is a line of empty space, this empty space will also be counted in). If you turn on a grid of 16x16 and compare it to an original sticker (with the file name given below each sprite) you can see that the sticker is aligned in the same way. But that's all just technical talk. Base line is, both Heinermann's sticker viewer and my assembling of the sticker previews can easily be generated by the use of a script. However, due to the irregular sizes of the stickers and the fact that the stickers must be placed on one image makes it impossible to automate the whole process.

Hmm, true that. So you did the simpler, easier version. Noice. And noice job for the sheets. But in that case, why not simply make ALL the stickers on large sheets, in order, and add the details underneath each one?
Ehh, never mind. Don't answer that...

Don't mind the rather lame name of the sheet, that's what the file name of the given texture was. Also, do note that the text won't appear on the THP file (video format for most GCN and Wii games), and neither will the characters posing like in the intro. These are all added on the video when displayed. How they managed to get the timing right I don't know, but it's pretty impressive. |
