1. Lazy? I'm TRYING to make the arms, so don't go saying I'M lazy.
2. When I get to it.
Plus, he's gonna have wand when I'm done. SMB3 anyone?

WOW dude, really helpful. It'll be up when it's up and asking that is like asking "Are we there yet?"; it just annoys, and the answer really can't be told.

Here it is. I still need to do something about the face, but the hair looks much better. The walk animation shown here also needs some serious work.
More specifically about the face, the muzzel.

The hair is looking better, though I notice the the lightsource on the head and hair conflict seem to conflict each other.

I agree, much better. Excellent progress. The hair's lightsource actually seems to now conflict with itself. Most of the hair is coming from the top right, but the brightest color more comes from the top right. In general the only thing I can see as a main issue is the consistent lightsources. One thing though is that the tail would not lay flat if it's not on level with the ground.

Actually, this looked fun, so I got a little carried away with an edit that goes towards MY personal tastes.

I'm fine with the edit. Anyway, it's getting late, so I can't work on the sprite.
Now, before I go, I was wondering if anyone could fix the lightsource problem without totally ruining the sprite. If anyone could do that, I would appreciate it.

Cool. Although, I really hope the "ruining the sprite" bit wasn't directed at me, because that definitely wasn't my intention.
Here, I tried to do what you asked.
Shifted the lightsource on the hair, green part of the head(this really is a BITCH with the eye there btw), and a very minor bit on the muzzle. Had to MAJORLY mess with the shell's shading, but I really like it now. Something to remember is that the spikes cast a shadow(right where you put your highlight, actually), and that you had another brighter blue and another darker blue you had on the hair that you could use. Made the tail hit the ground, just what I think looks right, but you also should remember that the tail is UNDER the shell, and as such would have a shadow cast upon it. Made the cut-off on the bottom uniform, too.
Hope this is more what you were looking for.

Thanks Ego, that really helps. I'll work with your edit now, but for some odd reason I can't stop working on the old one. . . Dunno why, I just can't.
And no, the 'runining the sprite' part was not directed at you.

You are very welcome. And actually, it's probably more to your own benefit to work on the old one, but to model it after the edit. That way you gain more of the skills yourself and you can see why I did some stuff.
Thanks, I was just making sure. It's one of those "tone of voice on the Interwebs" things I guess.

New version:
Are there still flaws with the lightsource? Anyway, someone at MFGG tells me that I should add a third spike on the shell, and put the leg behind the shell. Here's the problem though; I CAN'T put the leg behind the shell without making it look strange. It might just be me, but I like it better when the leg isn't behind the shell. I also put some detail in the shell.
EDIT: I'm also working on wand poses.

Light source is goo everywhere but the hair, you're still putting the brightest color on the wrong side of the highlight. I suppose you could leave it, I think that it actually looks pretty good, but technically it is inconsistent. Shell's shading looks great btw, and tail looks good there.
Third spoke shouldn't be a problem, but with the leg thing you have three choices.
1. Do what they say and hide the leg against your liking.
2. Ignore them and leave it.
3. Compromise; bend the shell around the leg and hide just the corner, giving the illusion that the leg is under the shell while still showing off most of the leg. Like this:

Looking forward to the wand poses!
