Are you talking about the SNES Game?, Yeah, Mystic Quest or "Final Fantasy USA" was pretty shocking, you get a retry button if your defeated in battle and roaming around the map was horrible, you coudnt freely move.
The music was good, it was a bit to predictable. It wasnt composed by Nobuo Uematsu which was odd
Theres a Gameboy game called Mystic Quest, also known as Final Fantasy Adventure and thats also known as from the Mana series
I Love All Classic Rpg's! (SNES!,NES!,SMG!,GB/A!)
Games That I Am In The Middle Of Playing!: Chrono Trigger (3'rd Time), Breath Of Fire 2, Secret of Mana, Dragonball: Action Adventure, Phantasy Star II, Tales of Phantasia, Summon Night 1, Dragon Quest V, Final Fantasy 6
so i've been playing FF8 this whole time and i finally got to the second disc
how the fuck can anybody dislike this game, it is a piece of work
Yeah, FF8, while it has a pretty bad magic system, has an awesome story.

the magic system is absolutely fine, i actually prefer it to traditional magic systems
i adore everything about this game

If you're that far, you really should go beat up Sin.
Before getting the final boss you have the cave, Seymour, a little more cave, Sin, all of your aeons and finally the final boss (which is easier than Sin and Yunaleska IMO)
oh boy do I have my work cut out for me
EDIT: oh wait I remember why I never tried to go after Sin yet
I'm trying to get all the uberweapons
well, I have all of them; I just need to unlock them (well, all of them except Onion Knight; screw that fish boss and its ability to OHKO you)
plus I had the strategy guide so I was able to see what bosses I had ahead of me
HAVE I BEEN MISLEAD?? THE DREAM ISN'T DEAD???
Woppet, Previous (the previous sig [hurr]), Strasteo (current avatar), TomGuycott, Gors 1, 2, 3, 4; Crappy Blue Luigi, SmithyGCN, Demonlemon 1 and 2, Chris2Balls, Phantom K, Kosheh, Sengir 1, 2
There are still other people I need to acknowledge for their love but I'm not done digging their love up, STAY TUNED FOR MORE
People people, it doesn't matter. There's still FFXIIIvs.
Also, this isn't surprising in the slightest Square rises and fades in terms of FF's if the 'Fabula Nova Crystallis' series fails they can ALWAY'S rehash FFIV for PS3 and it will sell. It will sell because people would write off their first children for it like the whores they are. Sides, how can a guy with a Chocobo chick in his fro be bad? That's impossible.
Also, in terms of the using their other IP's how's about remaking Brave Fencer Musashi? A RPG Adventure NOT about Link?

Square got many good games that could use some remakes or sequels, like Parasite Eve (I think this one got trouble because it's based on a book). It's a shame Square can only think of FF (and doing it wrong) and Kingdom Hearts.

Well, there's ports, (PS1, DS, WiiWare?)
there was also that 3D Chrono Trigger Ressurection project that Square-Enix shut down.
