It's body is turned only 3/4 around to the side whilst the head is straight forward

is it just me, or are those ears a bit weird?
if the head is facing straight forward, why is one ear behind the other?

It looks awkward how the body is 3/4 view, head is sideways and the ears, apparently, a little from the back. At least mirror the ears so it looks better.
