Quote:Hey everyone.
Development is going great so far. Surprisingly active! We're working on graphics right now while the main gameplay engine is being worked on in the background. I think we'll be able to meet our February deadline for the closed beta.
I decided to slap together some of the graphics we have compiled so far in an image-- just testing to see if they look nice together. I figure, why not let the masses decide that, too? Obviously, it's nowhere close to a final product, and just a test. Let us know how you feel!
Hope you like! We'll have more info for you soon.

the character portrait in the hud has too much of your "sketch-y tyvon" style.
I don't know how to put it exactly, but it's all the black n the hair that throws it off.
Though I'm assuming that was just for the mockup.

i wouldn't be surprised if this game becomes outstandingly popular
brilliant work
'sup. Here's an update.
Quote:Hello, everybody!
About two days ago, we had ourselves our last meeting of that month, and are now moving onto the next month of development– graphics!
This next month will be spent finishing and completing most of the in-game graphics. In order to keep everybody updated, we’ll be posting new material in the Screenshots section of the devblog once a week!
As for the closed beta… we’ve decided to hold back on that for about a month.
When we present to you a stable demo of the game, we want it to be a quality demo! The delay will also allow us to polish a few more features than what we originally planned.
I promise you all, it’ll be totally worth it!
Be sure to keep an eye out! This is going to be a very busy month for us.

Oh and on another note, we decided to lower the base price for the PC and XBLA versions to $4.99, just like the iPhone version. The iPhone version may also get a small price cut as well.

I read an article that people rarely pay $5 for an iPhone game. Pricing it around $2.50 would probably be a better bet, though Stuart's actually sold iPhone games and he'll have some insider experience.

I don't know why I haven't looked into this project before and I am thinking I am a dick for leaving it this late
but I AM KIND OF EXCITED. Will buy the shit out of it when it's out, for sure. :>

Typically i think the trend is to make a good game that people like and sell it for cheap, then make a sequel and charge more as you'll aready have a large fan base to work off of.

Yeah, I think I'll be consulting Stuart about it, maybe he can give us a good idea for the general range to charge.

eeeeee
it's great that you guys got so far into this project : D
I'm totally buying this when it comes out to XBLA
oh, and I'm curious: what're you planning with the HUD? It's not as good as it could be, but obviously it's still WIP. I personally would find it cool if you guys did a mirror-styled HUD (ie. the character portrait would be the character's reflection in a mirror; items are switched through a mirror flicker; etc.) or something creative like that :>
HAVE I BEEN MISLEAD?? THE DREAM ISN'T DEAD???
Woppet, Previous (the previous sig [hurr]), Strasteo (current avatar), TomGuycott, Gors 1, 2, 3, 4; Crappy Blue Luigi, SmithyGCN, Demonlemon 1 and 2, Chris2Balls, Phantom K, Kosheh, Sengir 1, 2
There are still other people I need to acknowledge for their love but I'm not done digging their love up, STAY TUNED FOR MORE
The HUD will be updated soon, that's just a temp version.

Your game BETTER have killer bosses. That's pretty much the only reason I buy a game, and if you let me down, I'll find you and give you a mohawk made of seagulls and gorilla glue. <
The game does look awesome though, on a serious note.
