Actually no. A friend sent me a program that all I have to do is.... To take a screenshot! :o And then check all the textures it captured.
The time-consuming part is to guess which textures goes with each character/prop/enemy/background.

I'm working on Dante, Trish and Credo's textures, but I got this one done:
Kyrie (around 10MB)
Dante's missing Ebony and Ivory, Credo is missing his eyes ( :o ) and I'm going to double check Trish.

I'm just curious, but how do you rip so perfectly without getting any other unwanting stuff.

Actually I get a lot of unwanted stuff, so I got to check each file and order it. It's a program called 3D Ripper DX, a fairly easy to use tool, and Infraview to see the files it generates, along with the NVidea's thumbnails plugin for Windows

By the next level I'm going to play with Dante for some while (until by the end of the game), so I assume that I might see he using his weapons during the videos (so I can get the high-resolution version of Ebony and Ivory), and he got many other weapons (hmmm...Maybe a new sheet for them?) and more Trish, so I'm going to hold them a little.

Hey Ton, I'm submitting the PC version, not PS3 or 360 version (but looks like they are mostly the same) :p
Lots of biiiiiig textures (oh damn). Maybe I should rip some sprites next? Right now I'm just farming orbs and souls before beating a boss

Some more DMC4. I'm not sure if I'm going to rip all of Dante's weapons (one of them never appears on a scene so I can't rip the highest quality texture). There's only a villian (and his 2 boss fights) and one friendly NPC to rip all of the major characters, then only the random bosses (Berial, Dagon, Bael, Echidna and the Savior) and the random enemies, not important for the story flow. Those I'm only going to rip under request.

Two of the most ridiculous animations I've ever see at a game was Dante getting a weapon called "Lucifer" and his intro against Agnus. Check it on youtube if you like :p

And I still a long way to go before being close to your ability to rip random and obscure things, man. Also, your mobile phone ripping technique was a great discovery
