yeah
Spirit Tracks is a genuinely hard Zelda game

I remember getting tripped up in Wind Waker, but as far as I know I was able to get around those parts anyway

and hell, I keep hearing that the Water Temple in OoT was one mindfuck of a temple, but I don't remember finding it that hard (not even the Master Quest version of it)

but
fucking Spirit Tracks

I spent a good half an hour trying to get to the stamp station in the Fire Temple Very Sad

I spent MONTHS in there. Water temple is by far the hardest in oot.

honestly all of the temples in MM were pretty difficult.

what the fuck is it about water-based temples in zelda being the hardest all the time

water temple oot, great bay temple mm, whatever that temple was in tp that i don't remember because that game isn't memorable except for some of the bosses, etc

great bay was insanely easy for me, iirc

of course, I was using a strategy guide, but I don't remember anything from it except the boss and those water current tunnels you had to swim through

can we all agree that the worst dungeon in any zelda game is the temple of the ocean king?

Worse part of WW was the annoying as hell "Collect all the goddamn Triforce shards" quest.

I got to that part

and never played it again

as far as I'm concerned, the game ends at the triforce charts part.
I beat the game.

You didn't stab Ganondorf in the face, you didn't beat the game. I can understand finding a part of the game annoying, but I don't know, unless it's EXCRUCIATING then I don't really see why you can't just power through it, and it wasn't really that bad if I remember right.. That's like if you're watching a movie, you don't go "oh I hate this scene, time to stop watching the movie, as far as I'm concerned the movie ends here"

aren't there like 50 charts I have to find or something

I think I only have like 2

this forces me to sail around (by far the most boring part of the game) the entire world looking for those things
all it is is filler which is designed to artificially add length to the game

There are 8. Not 50.

Also I liked exploring all the different islands. Sad

Yeah I enjoy exploring and discovering. My favorite aspect of the WW. But the Triforce quest was not exploring it was telling you where to go and what to do.
