Just got past the first rival battle. I like how they handled it this time, instead of putting "My name is ???", making you think Silver's name is actually ???.
Though "You saw my name! Oh no!" doesn't seem fitting for his character, hahaha

I'd like to know who translated this game, a lot of lines that these trainers throw out are fucking gold.
Like the Rocket Grunt that talks in Engrish, or Fisherman Ralph spending more time with his Goldeen than his own kids.
Does this game pull a Fire Red/Leaf green where if a pokemon got an evolution after gen two, it won't be able to evolve?

I have no idea.
How do you evolve Magmar? Level? Trade? Fire Stone? Something stupid?
03-16-2010, 03:52 PM
You evolve him by trading him while he is holding the Magmarizer (or whatever it's called). Magmortar kicks ass; I'm surprised you haven't evolved him in D/P/Pt before.

can someone tell me if you can link HG/SS battle frontier with Pt battle frontier??

I have a technical question about WIFI. I have a friend that uses WPA rather than WEP, which seems to be the standard that Nintendo utilizes for the Pokemon games. Is there any way that they can get wifi to work with their internet?

No, unless they have a DSi. Regular DSes don't support WPA. I'm having this same problem. I could probably easily switch the router back to WEP, but it's a total bitch to make sure it's working correctly and if I mess up, I'll have no internet until my brother fixes it. He won't switch the router back to WEP. My only hope is to either a) find a (very cheap) used nintendo usb dongle somewhere because they dont make them anymore or b) crack my neighbor's WEP network and steal their wifi I don't want to do either, personally.

The thing is that they HAVE a DSi, but from what I can tell, the pokemon game itself doesn't give an option to utilize WPA. But then again, I don't have a DSi, so I don't know how it uses WPA in the first place.

I don't have a DSi so I'm not sure, but isn't there a Wi-fi menu in the system menu? They can probably access it from there.

I'm forced to use nearby WEP encryption to connect my DS Lite to WFC.
