It's money for spriting, and spriting is fun to me.

Well, I think you need to take into consideration that art really doesn't translate into an hourly wage. So saying that working minimum wage does pay more is true. That's the case for most art jobs, especially at a non-professional level. At the beginnings its for the art rather than the pay. I'm not saying that as a defence that "you shud do my psrites," but rather your arguments are kind of irrelevant and missing the point.

I'm not missing your point at all. You want to have some fun with sprites, and you're hoping someone who has fun making sprites will have the incentive to help you out and get a little money to boot.

However, you've clearly missed MY point. Saying art doesn't translate into an hourly wage is ridiculous. Sure, maybe it isn't as EXACT as an hourly wage, but if a job is going to take a certain number of hours, the pay is to reflect that. Jobs that are harder work and take longer better have better pay than shorter, easier jobs.

Bringing payment into the picture makes it more professional, but the amount you bring to the table is certainly the non-professional kind. I'd call it more like a favor with money, and I'm sure that's what you set out to do. Just don't say that art can't translate to an hourly wage, that just makes me want to whack you.
