it's pink in the sprites but
the majority of the art shows it as red
that's not really the huge problem though, it's mostly the fact that colors are the only thing linking it to who its supposed to be

And her bangs have longer spikes to them and her side burn looking things shouldn't curve but be pointy and straight down. Also I own all 6 of the games because I am a rather huge fan of Disgaea. Her hair is a dark pink and not red color.

Well.. it's done in a really different style.. but yeah, I guess the pigtails can throw some viewers off. I don't even play the games; it was just a request. I should pay more careful attention to etna's design. Is Disgaea DS any good, btw? Maybe I should try it out.

Oh wow.... no wonder I got so confused. Some pictures have her with pink hair, and others have her with red hair. I chose the red because she's associated with hell/netherworld/wtf. I'll draw her with dark pink hair next time.

Does anyone have any more tips, lightsource wise? I would like to update it.

Disgaea DS is good but still in your style her side bangs before the ears should be straight, her hair should be a dark pink color, and her normal bangs should look longer and straight at least. Otherwise it won't look like her at all other then the clothes. The pigtails are fine but her bangs is what it kinda odd looking.

Alright, here is my Revision process so far. I've noticed that Etna's pigtails are shaped like palmtree leaves (I know, wtf) while fixing her bangs/pigtails.

It actually looks a lot more like Etna now.

The only thing I can say now is that she looks kinda chubby.

Can't say if it's accurate to the characters because I don't know who they are


still, that girl's belly button looks misplaced

Re-applied the base colors. Hopefully I fixed Etna's Hair color. How do I approach the shading? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. =3
