Also, if you are going to try spriting something that resembles a certain style in particular (In this case KH Gauges) you should keep a few screenshots around (in this case, of KH gauges) to use them as visual references, so you could tell if whatever you are spriting actually looks like the original material or not.

The gauges in KH were vectors, IIRC, aside from the Handheld ones - but they don't use that style.

Man, you guys are being turds. The kid still has the mentality of daring to state that paint sucks, sure. Horrible error, yes, but "to forgive is divine !", as they say.
Let's say your circles edges are too rudimentary. Smooth 'em out. Your colors are badly chosen. Rechoose them. This might help.
Study everything, every image, every technique, every tutorial to improve your sprite.

are you aware that picking colors from a random palette without a clue of why you should pick said colors is stupid and a terrible advice?

picking from a random pool of 4600 colors not only limits you but also its extremely redundant. for a palette of that size, he might as well use no pool of colors at all.

OP, ignore that post. really ignore it. all you need to know is to avoid using MSPaint's default colors. if you're really looking for criticism in order to learn, i might suggest you to do some research about the theory of colors.

1. I did NOT say I think my sheet sucks. I was saying OTHER people say they suck. I tried for months, yes months, to try to make it look better.

2. I never once said MS Paint is stupid. It's the only picture making program I have and I enjoy using it. I'm not spending $100+ on Photoshop.

3. All I did was ask an honest to god question, what do you guys think? That's all I asked. Instead, all I got was everyone and there fucking grandma's flaming the shit out of me because of one picture and post. Seriously! You tell people THEY'RE the immature ones?! All I did was ask, and I got flamed! Who's the REAL immature ones?

4. I tried MANY different colors and used a gauge from the game as a reference which helped greatly. The only one who gave me REAL advice was Lexou. So yes, I'm going to take that advice and look at different color pallets.

5. I'm NOT an expert at making custom/edited things like you guys. The only real thing I did was ripping the battle stuff from Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. That's something that bugs me. People who have little experience in this sort of thing just be honest and say what you all think and you guys just treat them like they're retarded.

And right now, I don't care anymore. So go ahead. Warn me, suspend me, hell even ban me for this post. I don't care. All I did was ask an honest question, and I got shouted at like I'm some jack-ass who ruined this forum.

to be honest there is literally no point in doing this as pixel art. for such a simple, extremely easy bunch of shapes and such that anyone could do in 5 mins, you'd rather want to work on characters, objects, etc.

unless you really elaborate those UIs
