I need your opinion on these.

[Fire Eye]

I'm making this game called Ninja Battles. This is Fire Eye, the main character. This is what I've done so far. He is in "Tales of the World" style. Please give me your opinion and some advice. These were custom made by me. If you would like to, you can help me make these, but only if you wish. Thank you.

P.S.

I know that the jumping sprite's feet are messed up. I'm working on it.

The sprite is pretty bad, but I won't be the one to deal with that.

This would be far more appropriate in SD.

(Also I'd appreciate it if you don't flame this dude. Be honest by all means, but no trolling, 'k?)

Try looking at a human figure while Spriting. I'm not sure if he is wearing armor or not but if he isn't then the shoulder's shouldn't be pointy. In the Running and jumping poses try and get his hair to move with the rest of it. I'm sure his hair isn't make of plastic so it should move with him. Maybe you should go for a more basic style since you're a beginner. Are is eyes and skintone supposed to be the same color and are they supposed to be yellow?

Honestly.
The outline isn't too great, make the it more smooth. The colour choice isn't too great, and the shading needs more contrast between the colours.

Thanks for the advice. The shoulders do need a little work, although I am trying to make them sort of pointy on the ends. And for the hair, it should move with him. But, it's not hair. He's supposed to be made of fire, I've found that it's a common mistake before. And his eyes, well, I couldn't think of what to do for them, so I just made them glowing yellow circles set off from the rest of the face by a slight bulge.
