Why? What does that have to do with anything at all? If I don't finish Mario first and start another character, I'll never come back to him! Might as well get him done now, right?

i'm just saying every thread i've seen from you has been mario. do something new next time

Oh...Sorry for the rage post then.
Its just that, I'm a huge Mario Fan. Maybe I'll try something new next time.

Very interesting style, I like it, and the poses seem to have nice animations in them, I would like to see more,

They're looking good so far.
It could be better if you animate the new ones, just to see how they move.

Which base did you used or the body? It looks familiar but I can't figure it by myself.
Also, the head could use some extra work, as it's the same head copied and pasted all over again. (The nose and the stache could be different, for example.) The body's completely original, and the heads copied and pasted over and over again, because...well...Why make a new head for every frame? And its for the sole purpose of animation, you don't want body parts to change position to much. Lets say: Your standing, your head is upright and normal. When you jump or do something, your entire head position isn't gonna shift, it would ruin the animation. You don't want the changes to be too dynamic, it would look choppy. I hope this answered your question. (SPOILER: I'm also thinking about making the guy in contra a playable character!) Update!
Pretty original style you have going, though to be honest with you like everyone else I'd try something else other then Mario for a change. you're choice though.
also, why is the palette change needed for the fireball? Tis' curious because it doesn't really seem needed.

Well, it kinda makes the fire look more "Fiery", I wouldn't think its normal to see black and red fire, rather than real fire colors like orange and red.

He does? Haven't really played SSB64 in a while, though I think you might be right. |
