I'm grateful for your (unnecessary) yet welcoming defensiveness towards members.
but this is going offtopic
and im pretty sure the staff here wont appreciate that SO

principal, finish this, go with the big hat, blue strand, and
are you planning on finishing the hat shading, sir?
Advice for what? I'm an idiot, leave it at that. I don't appreciate your (unnecessary) yet unwelcoming advice.

I know, I was going to let it rest until Lionel Richie came into the topic.

btw it's looking pretty good but the blue strip of hair looks too cylindrical. it kinda looks like a blue snake is chillin inside the hat or something.
in fact, the bunches of hair look too round in general

why would i finish literally everything BUT the hat
who
would do that

i wouldn't shade the hat, simply because i avoided making one in first place.

see you're an idiot and now offer an apology and answer if you're going to shade your hat. this was a completely and absolutely serious post and i felt like pointing this out juts cause this needs to be derailed into an even more pintless argument for the sake of arguing over the sahding of an element of a work in progress.

yeah i was already working on trying to add some more brown/black into the strip so it looked more normal

No I wanted to emphasise on what I did on the face in my edit: the eyes are slanted but the rest of the face isn't in 1up's version so I thought that's what would solve my problem with the face without making it "manly" or whatever.

and see that's the problem
it's your problem with the face
i dont know if i said it here or skypechat or pixelation or all three of them but i do not give two shits what anyone thinks about the face anymore

because every time someone tries to "help" with the face, they completely butcher it and assume i'll be grateful for the "help"

stop it
besides the version of mine you have in there isnt even the newest one i posted in this thread
here
refresh your memory

yes, it is my problem for the face, i thought i made that clear with the possessive pronoun: it's my advice, it's my edit, you take it or you leave it, just remember that it is something which i have done voluntarily which shows my support and my will to make your piece better. if you think i've butchered your piece, too bad, i could even say my bad, my edit was going in the wrong direction you intended to go, i'm giving my point of view on it anyway; besides, my mistakes or butchering and that of others will only give you a wider range of possiblities from which you can draw some ideas and know what you don't want. i'll stop if it offends you that much.
anyway i made an edit on your most recent version, focussing more on the hat this time:
as you can see i'm thinking more of the skull and less of the hair when it comes to the width of the hat, i tilted it slightly and messed around with the rim. i added a moustache to make him more manly, i call it the "francisco".
btw you did a good job on the fringe to convey hair, may i suggest you do that more on the other parts? the main issue i see is in the blue dye, in which there are blobs of brown (i don't think hair dye's applied like that, i'll check) and the highlight looks too small, try fiddling with it.
looking forward to progress!

That hat looks like it fits the base of his head better, I like it- maybe with a tad trimming on the top.
